People won't like this & tbh hurts me to say it myself but... Suarez! Proven in the league & banging them in. Plus in our squad you could see him scoring even more. Forget he's a horrible person & think purely on footballing ability, he's exactly what we need right now.

Tbh this is how I see it turning out:
Out Mario with Suarez coming in this window after a last min cheeky bid by us. Guidetti getting his chance as fourth choice, if he works out great, if not then no harm done.
Summer - Cavani coming in with Dzeko leaving for Juve or similar, then if Guidetti hasn't cut the mustard an other coming in, if he hits the ground running then he'll keep his place.
IMO a front four of:
Aguero, Cavani, Suarez, Guidetti with Silva feeding them balls & a new winger! Excites me.

I would like us to sign Deulofeu if he is open to a move and offer him the regular first team time that he is really impatient for, the only reason he might leave Barca. He is incredibly good for his age and despite having a chip on his shoulder looks like he is worth the effort. His £8million release clause is ridiculous and Barcelona are desperately trying to get him to sign a new one. If he stays at Barca he will be in their first team within a couple of years. We could play him out wide because there wouldn't be much space for him yet up front (remember Messi used to play out wide). He would work in the Mancini system or the proposed 4-3-3 we might switch to.

Up front I think Cavani would be a good choice for the instinctive goal machine we need. Falcao would be great too but I think Cavani could form a more balanced partnership with Aguero, an improved version of the decent Aguero/Dzeko partnership. I really like Jovetic but his goals have dried lately so might not be clinical enough yet for what we need, but he or Suarez would be ideal Tevez replacements in 18 months time.

I don't think we need the big name defender some are clamouring for. I fully trust Nastasic already and if Lescott is staying we will have plenty of options because Rekik is maturing fast and Micah is very decent filling in at CB. And today showed Garcia can put in a shift. I think we'll sign one central defender to replace Kolo but it'll be another great prospect instead of a marquee signing. Kurt Zouma is the name on many lips and United's interest is very strong but we have a strong presence in France with Vieira if we want him.

One high quality midfielder would be good too, someone better at moving the ball forward with pace and dictating play than some of our current choices. Benat who has been touted as the 'bargain' choice has been crap in his last few games. Whether it's a blip in form or not I'm unsure but his performances have really deteriorated lately which is cause for concern and notice no one has rushed to trigger his reasonable buyout clause this month, perhaps he is not quite as good as we thought. Xabi Alonso's contract will have 1 year left next summer and I think Real Madrid would be tempted to sell him for a decent offer, he wouldn't be too expensive. It looks like Real don't plan to renew his contract because of his age which is a typical Real Madrid mistake IMO as players of this style can operate at a high level far into their 30s. Alonso is 7 years younger than Scholes.

why?? lamela is a fantastic player already and he'll go on to be world class in the future. nasri offers nothing as a winger ( he would surely offer more as a deep lying playmaker) and right now i think width is our main problem. lamela is an excellent dribbler and fast as well. when nasri is playing not only he doesn't play well but somehow silva doesn't play well either. silva would be devastating with a pure winger on the other side ( like bale but he is expensive) and lamela can play that role.

Sell/Release Kolarov, Lescott, Kolo, Dzeko, Boyata, RSC and Bridge.

Buy; Cavan/Falcao, Jovetic and a backup LB.

Gives us four top attackers with one able to play a bit deeper and backup LB.

Rekik and Garcia can cover CB as can Richards hence why I would sell Lescott and release Kolo. Saving us circa 200k a week.

I think one of Barry and Milner will leave. I think as good as Barry has been I won't be surprised if he leaves. Which will be a shame as he has been a top pro and the only player I have ever had printed on my shirt.
