I think the thing that could swing it is this: Donnarumma has loads of big game experience. James has almost, good as he is. I'm not saying who I want. I'll be happy with whoever Pep picks, and trust him. I just think Pep will go with the big game experience.

I feel sorry for Trafford because he has shown he has great talent and potential to be among the best. He made a huge mistake due to his inexperience, but he is still young and capable of learning. With Donny taking the No. 1 spot, it could hinder Trafford's progress, as he will only be selected for cup competitions. At the same time, if Trafford practices humility and a willingness to learn, he can benefit from Donnarumma's presence.

Donnaruma, probably the world’s best keeper, & he has an aura that Trafford doesn’t have yet. ( as good as he’s been)
If Utd get a penalty, ( If Khusanov is playing, you can bet they’ll milk every chance to go down in the box) Donnaruma is who you want in goal.
I’m sure Pep want to see how he fares too in a big game environment

We as fans think the Derby is extremely important. Pep doesn't feel the same. Trafford to start. Donarumma to start against Napoli.

The only argument to play Trafford would be that Donnarumma may have only had 2-3 training sessions but even so I strongly believe that Donnarumma will start. He is one of the best keeper in the world and we should pick our best players for the PL matches.

For me, I want Trafford in goal 100%.

Trafford was excellent in our last game. And I think that he is possibly England's best keeper - he needs to start if he wants to nail down the #1 role in England for the World Cup.

That said - we've just signed Donnarumma on presumably huge wages. No way that we've signed Donnarumma as a backup keeper.

I'm 50-50 as to which keeper will start - only because Donnarumma is so new to our side. But I think he'll start.

I 100% agree that Donnarumma was the perfect keeper for us in this particular game and that his save was fantastic.

Otherwise - fantastic debut from Donnarumma which I fully expected from a side that doesn't press our back line/keeper. In such games, Donnarumma will excel.
