Perhaps this will act as some kind of epiphany moment, where he realises that being a mouthy prick can have consequences that impact beyond his immediate self.

It's unlikely that Vinnie, for example, would trigger this kind of behaviour due to the respect people have for him.

I don't think we have any players who are as mouthy and twattish as Ferdinand, or even Neville when he was there. However, what this does do is open the door to their fans, who we know are fuckwits at the best of times, to go looking for our players and abuse them.

That said, Ferdinand will make as much out of this as he can. I've no idea what happened, and neither does anyone on here (unless they know the individuals involved), but no matter how much of a twat he is he shouldn't be abused when out with his kids (if that's what happened).

Poor buggers - bad enough having him for your dad, without them getting caught-up in "banter" that crosses the line.

I've always found it odd that the twat vs decent ratio at the swamp is around 90%, whereas at City it's around 10%. Even allowing for my natural bias, it says a lot about the people they are prepared to employ.

I'm not sure putting it on twitter is the most intelligent thing to do, it will only serve to encourage the less than bright to copy the actions of these lads. Then again Rio is clearly thick.

If that's the case then I'll take it back, I don't go on twatter so if was just camelgobs word then it's not much to go off.

At no point have i said its ok,in city terms (probably not this year) if someone had go at Lescott/Kompany i'd be thinking pricks but Ballotelli/Tevez i could understand,he gives it big one but crys like a woman other way round,enjoy your riches and keep mouth shut and you enjoy life like Scholes/Zaba,Carrick,Lescott etc,dont hear of them/family getting grief off City/Utd fans.

Exactly, it's not appropriate, but he should've known better. Don't talk shit if you don't expect some fire coming back. Those fans lacked common sense what it sounds like.
