who's bored of wembley

At this moment in time, I'm thinking I'll give the semi a miss (should we get there). Going to barca away (2nights) and to Hull away (one night) and have the usual pleasure of watching the derby from the Stretford End ( and staying over in town after).

It's all getting a bit a much, I'm flagging. But, having said that, I can see myself at Wembley for the semi. Suppose it's a bit of an addiction really.

That's how I'm feeling, I'm not going to the semis if we get there, once the tickets go on sale I'll end up going!

I'm already thinking of sacking the domestic cups schemes off next season but once renewal time arrives I'll know I'll sign up, it's like a disease!!

i dont think many are board of wembley its down to cost and travel time if people are missing games, imo the FA screwed up with the new stadium the club wembley package is bollox and the two sections of seats by the dug outs which are mostley half empty should be shifted to the oposite side 'it looks bad on the tv' 2nd to the above it was built in the wrong place it should have been built just off the M6 near villa giving reasonable acces from all parts of the country

I won't be going to his year's semi as I'm away, and to be honest, I'm not that bothered. It's wrong to have semi finals there. Our 2011 one was a bit different, because it was united, but you could see how special wembley was to the Sunderland fans with their first visit in 15 years. Hosting semis there loses that. There was also something really special about neutral ground semi finals all those years ago. They had their own magic, rawer than wembley, markedly different, but still special. Hosting semis at wembley has devalued the FA cup.
If man city beat wigan do you think the tickets will go down to blue members ?
There were several comments on here that tickets for the COC final would go on sale to blue members. Unfortunately those people were badly mistaken; blue members (like myself) never had a cat in hell's chance of a ticket. As for the semi final, I suppose it'll depend on who we're drawn against. If it's a a lesser side (Sheff Utd, for example), then they may go down to blue members. If we get Arsenal or Everton though, no chance.

As a blue member I got tickets for Chelsea in the semi last year, but only just. I would have thought that with the league cup final, Barcelona away and the greater possibility of getting to the final it would be actually easier this year to get semi tickets?

I understand the old neutral stadium argument, however if Anfield, hillsborough, villa park etc were used, we would get a maximum of 20,000 tickets, not allowing for segregation.
The only ground where each team would get a decent allocation would be Old Scaffold. I for one would rather give the FA my cash, than uncle Malcolm.
Imagine how many more of our fans get the chance to experience Wembley with the bigger allocations.
The problem is only going to get worse as our capacity grows.

the semi final at Wembley devalues the competition I went to Villa Park in 1981 and the atmosphere was superb and the venue if anything made the occasion more memorable However we are now forced to fill the FA coffers as they try to claw back revenue on the new stadium the one good thing to come out of it is the fact that more supporters will get to see City at Wembley because the allocation for tickets for the final (please god we get there) is a joke with both sides getting a crappy amount thanks to the idiots at the fa giving a huge share to all and sundry ,who either spend 20 minutes off the second half eating and drinking or flogging their tickets to genuine fans at a fat profit

I'm sat in Euston station as we speak. I'm down here having measured a job and now on my way back. As the train passed by Wembley this morning a Hugh smile came across my face. I think the woman opposite thought I had wind.

Bored of Wembley. ?

Not a chance.

A bit of an about turn since the Community Shield against United and the potential one that didn't happen after the Wigan final.

Yes mate, they did vs Chelsea last year so most certainly will this year.
.

Agreed. Without doubt these will. Depending on the opponents very possibly open sale or won't sell out.

Bored with Wembley? No! We need a second home to reduce travel cost foe those of us who live on the south coast.

I'm surprised you are sticking your neck out on this one after your final tickets prediction. You are the ace of spades on the blue members most wanted list :)

Love the whole experience. Can we also have Sunderland as the opposition - great Club, great fans, great atmosphere, pose enough of a threat to make it interesting but beatable if we are on our game!
