Nobody would be expecting him to, it just increases the competion for places, plus with the number of games cup, europa n premiership we could rotate keep everyone fresh and prevent fatigue related injuries whilst maintaining a consistantly high level of performance, note I said when required that means if performances drop, tiredness, injuries etc

I would expect a few to leave before anyone comes in. Bridge, Adebayor, Santa Cruz. But i expect we will sign another player or two. If adebayor goes to Real maybe a swap for one of there players? Even if its a loan swap. We do need silva cover, and i would say a RB but i think zabaleta has saved us 20m there.

I'm a bit concerned that our previously bloated squad will now be a bit thin if we get rid of Bridge, Santa, Ade, and SWP... Would like another name to bolster it.

I agree. If we let 3-4 players go in this window I think we'd need to bring another player in.

don't think this has been mentioned but i would seriously consider a cheeky bid for arshavin. From the outside looking in it seems like he's hit a bit of a brick wall at the arse. His relationship with the fans doesn't seem great and he doesn't come across as being all that happy. I think we definitely need cover for silva and arshavin would fit the bill for me - what's more i don't think it would cost all that much to get him. Going through a tricky period but undoubtedly got a lot of talent

We will not buy unless we sell. If we loan and then buy the squad will just get even bigger. In my opinion we should sell all dead wood asap circa 9 players yielding 30 to 40 mill and go out and buy Hazard and Lakuka. What's the point in saying we need to hold onto Ade if Balo is injured. Ade wants to go and if called upon will do absolutely nothing. Better to have a young prospect with real desire and commitment who will become a future star and is less bothered about being on the bench and more interested in what they can become in the long term. The two players mentioned would be fantastic and actually improve the squad and competition for places. It's a no-brainer

These are conservative figures and total over 40 mill of dead wood with wages pa of 30 - 40 mill. Hazard and Lakuka would cost around what we would get from the sales both are getable and as I've said before would actually improve the squad and give enough until June. Summer buys would then be a further 2, both at centre back with Lescott leaving probaly luiz and Ruiz. Bale could be the marquee signing with Richards going as part of the deal.

Why is everyone suddenly turning on RIchard? He said he want s 1st team football, and I agree he has performed in his opportunities. I believe he is presently our best RB, and should be started more often than JB or PZ. Besides JB was purchased as a CD. He should start working at CD.

I see Micah owning the RB position, with Boateng/Luiz starting next to Vinnie at CD while Boyattaa is loaned out of next season. Toure backs up Vinnie and Lescott moves.

I don't see us buying Bale. I think Mancini's comment is more to stop Tot from selling their best player to United. This is why I hope TOT nicks Chelsea to 4th place. That way, they are not forced to sell under the excuse that their best players want CL footie. So long as Tot stays in the top 4, they'll keep all their stars, and United wouldn't be able to poach them. If they miss out on the top 4 then, you can be rest assured that Bale, Modric and VDV are off to greener pastures.

I for one like the competition and need more teams with star power. Before this league urns into the next La Liga, where only 2 games really matter. Who wins at the Barnabu and who wins at Camp Nou?

I would like Richards tonstay as well but if he can't keep his mouth shut then what can he expect... Onouha did the same and look what happend to him. He even said in the interview I know I should keep my mouth shut and then started talking on behalf of other players... what's that all about! Sorry but this is dissent in my book. You're either with us or against us as they say. Top teams do not let this behaviour go unchecked because it's distructive and creates division which in turn affects performance on the pitch. Mancini will sort this out one way or another...
