Who's next?.

Hear me out but I actually think De Bruyne is just as important as Pogba would be, if not more.

I look at Pogba as a luxury, what team on earth could boast two players like Pogba and Yaya alongside eachother? It'd be immense, but Yaya would still be well served with some more defensive solidity by him just as much as he would be with more more mercurial class.

De Bruyne on the other hand, with Sterling and Silva, is an absolute wet dream of service for Kun. Like it or not our team flows through and lives and dies by Kun Aguero. The more options we feed him the better, and those three would give any team in the world fits. Pogba would too, but idk how much exactly it would benefit our most important player. I honestly think Aguero could bag 40+ goals with that service and would be in the short running for Ballon D'or.

Will Aguero ever be in the running for Ballon D'or? No matter what the lad does, he never gets recognition he deserves. I mean, he won the Golden Boot in the Prem and still somehow didn't get in the team of the year! The media are so biased against City, it's unreal. I think Aguero could score 500+ goals and they'd put someone ahead of him.

I'm the same mate, as I believe it's a key area that needs addressing, hopefully we can get one in, but maybe we've decided to stick with Kolarov and Clichy for next year?
I hope not, it would be very fickle of the club to forget how very poor Kolarov's season was, and instead focus on those 6 games and 2 free kicks at the end of it.

A left back for me is an absolute top priority, it's an area we've been weak in for years, and teams constantly try to exploit our left hand side.

Hmmm a tricky area, I think the progress of Angelino may be playing at the back of a few peoples minds. I could see us sticking with what we have for another season and if Angelino impresses in the remainder of his time with NY that decision will only become harder. He looked the part on his debut last night, but he was primarily going forwards. As those that will have seen plenty of him inthe EDS will know thats his area of strength anyway, its his defensive duties that need a little attention and tweaking, time wil tell but I personally think there are big plans for this kid in the not too distant future.

Yeah, he's not a great defender & obviously only a small lad, but he's very committed & a typical Spanish style attack minded fullback. It hasn't done Spain or Barca/Real Madrid any harm having players like that. The Prem is different obviously, but if he can match the physicality, then he certainly has the quality, & will just get better & better.

I was surprised to see how much better Angelino was than some of the others on the pitch, he stood out like a sore thumb
Going forward he was great but he always has acres of space behind him that good teams will exploit. Toronto tried it twice but both times he was faster than the striker they played through, in the PL he'd get stripped bare.
However he is still young and that should be coached into him.

why right back? thought left back was more in need of attention

I think we know that zabba is good for 2 years at best - we need a replacement - and although we have the guys from EDS coming through (Maff best bet from those in the know I assume) we still need quality, but I agree left back needs improving but who?
