I think the people that match your list are the ones who have no real life outside the internet. Most people who do go out and lead normal lives would take jibes and insults as banter and grow a thicker skin.

You can tell the ones who feel growing a reputation on an internet forum is the epitome of a good existence. Some of the "more established" posters are great (TMQ, Damo), but as already mentioned a few egotistical ones spoil it for the rest.
