Why do we keep getting HAMMERED? What is our training regime exactly.

Why have we repeatedly taken batterings from the likes of Leicester, Stoke and the abominable Red Scouse. Not just defeats but hammerings. We seem to have the worst training regime in the league. Injuries everywhere and players lumbering around like they're about 56 years old. The players aren't fit, are they? And they moan about the number of games they have to play more than any other squad of players I know of. And all this with facilities that are state of the art and second to none ... supposedly. Do they actually train properly? I am genuinely interested abouut the training regime. Does anyone know?

Question.
The clubs who didn't win a trophy on Sunday, have their fans boards got questions like this?

Same for the clubs more or less in the last 8 of the CL and who have 30 points to play for from 4th position to go on and try and win the league?

And your 'Hammered' in capitals. Please!!!!

agreed. fitness is really poor compared to a lot of the clubs we've faced. injuries are happening every week and players just dont look arsed on the pitch. teams literally run rings round us

We've a horrible habit of collapsing like a house of cards and conceding 2 or 3 goals in quick succession. I believe another term for it is capitulation.

The mentality from the team has gone. You look at those games and when they scored we ended up just accepting it like Arsenal do.

The question really must be why are we so inconsistent. Our performance level seems to fluctuate from one game to the next.
We all know how good this team can be but it frustrates the crap out of all of us that we are so unpredictable.
My take is that we lack discipline and the players are too cosseted and protected by the management, possibly in an effort to try to keep a happy changing room. I think the players (or certain elements) need more of the stick and less of the carrot. Pellegrini seems to be too mild mannered and too much of a gent to administer the tough love some of these players need.
Pep Guardiola has a reputation of being a fierce disciplinarian and this is what is needed. Those who don't like his approach will be rapidly shown the door.

The spine of this team going back to Bobs reign has always been about slow, possession based football. Teams used to sit off us frightened to death and thus we got away with it but increasingly, they have learnt to press and the players are just unable/unwilling to do the dirty work needed to compete.

I dont think we are unfit, its a mentality of wanting to do it and far too many just dont want to.

Did the teams who didn't win the league cup spend over £150 million in 2015 (to add to a squad containing Aguero, Silva, Kompany and Yaya) and still managed to suffer numerous heavy losses, without beating a single team in the top 8 of the Premier League? If so then yeah they probably are asking the same questions

He would not do better with this squad and injuries than pellegrini, they
Will fight til the end and make us proud again. ... one title so far !!

I don't think we get hammered across ninety minutes. I think it's a case of certain individuals, and it's not always the same culprits two matches running, playing an unbelievably poor spell of a few moments and then we get a momentary hammering. Repeat three or four times and the scoreline represents a hammering.

We start with a nice warm up session of look at my car in the CFA SPA carpark
Then we do some light Louis Vuitton washbag lifting.
Then we work on our facial muscles under the strict instruction of Sharon.
Next we have an intense game of "Guess my Face Mask" with Chappy followed by a full out session of high fiving, funny handshakes and back slapping.
A bit of side splitting target practice at whoever's being interviewd by CityTV follows.
We warm down with a bit of a kick about and a lot of hilarity when piggy in the middle gets the ball.
The manager then whips us up into a frenzy with his team talk.
Some stay behind to practice hitting the crossbar and for special treats Les dons his cap for some shooting practice and funny walks.

In all honesty, I don't know, but would genuinely like to hear from those priviledged enough to have access what a typical session involves.

Look at the fixtures we have played recently. No breaks. Same players most games due to injuries

I think we should have rotated against Liverpool. We'd just started getting players back: Mangala, Navas, and Bony. Play Hart, Kolarov and Zabaleta that's 6 fresh players. Imagine we'd have got beat against Liverpool having rested Aguero, Sterling and Silva though.

We can still win the league, but there's no room for error at all now. The run has to start now.

Made me giggle and a welcome break from the depressive reading since last night.

Good work Blue ;-)

I agree he should have made more changes last night. We certainly looked leggy compared to Liverpool when I thought the defeat would have affected them more.

We never used to get battered,it's tactics and more tactics that have failed, attacking football at all costs, simples
I can't wait for some balance again

City had the same performance problems also before the manager change was announced

We play with far too open a midfield and our defence isn't drilled on how to do anything except play offside, so if the other team gets the upper hand then we are just there for the taking. It's been that way for a while but it's particularly noticeable this season as the attacking players aren't keeping the ball as well as they used to, to cover up our lack of shape.
