The match thread keeps you sane? Seriously? It drives me fucking nuts at times. I'd be in favour of binning it, but the mass whining on here if it happened would be horrendous.100 times better than listening to Tyler, Spit, Captain Haddock, Ian " He cost £££££'s" Darke etc etc...

I want to be with like minded fans. With the coverage we get on TV the matchday thread is a place for a sense check believe it or not.
At times it is unbearable (with negativity) , but the TV commentary is so biased that clear events are ignored, like the two footed challenge by lamella yesterday.

Couldn't agree more. I want to watch the match, not be distracted by blue moon every minute hitting refresh. I don't get people who post all game on Twitter either.

I fail to see how those 'experts' on tactics, positioning etc can concentrate on the game and bash out their opinions at the same time. And nobody can type, post and watch every second of the game.Come on . Seriously ?

I'm used to attending every home game, Wembley and the odd away match, I do not have subscription footy so can only watch City if free to air which is rare.
Not really arsed if cant see on tv or a live live stream or whatever.
I am more than happy to listen on BBC radio Mcr and follow the matchday thread on here.

I actually don't have many city fan friends irl, something I'm planning on putting right when this is over actually, so it's the only way I can talk about the match as it's ongoing.

If they are reading all the posts aswell as writing them , how do they watch the game. ?
Or is it as I suspect they write but don't read a single one, which makes it a worthless exercise.
But if they get something out of it then I am happy enough for them to fill their boots.
