Why does Stuart Pearce hate City so much?

Worst City manager? George Poyser says "hold my pipe". If he'd been in charge much longer we'd have been playing York 30-odd years earlier. Pearce kept us up when we didn't have money and could easily have been relegated, which would probably have knocked the takeover on the head. The football certainly wasn't pretty but it worked.
The question is -:
'Why does he hate us so much' ?......

not 'why was he such a shit manager' ?.........

not just just of us but also the England U21 team !!

They're interlinked tbf. He hates us because we exposed his "next Cloughie gu an Psycho my san" managerial fantasies to the world. That instead of being a noble leader of men that warriors would follow, that actually hes just a thick twat who used to shout a bit and has the football acumen of a particularly stupid tomato plant.

Hey, steady on........

.....he wasn't that good !!

The fact this thought process even went through this bellend’s head shows what he thinks of us.

If you can be at a club as a player, coach and manager and think this is acceptable, then it means 1 of 2 things.

He’s either so stupid that he didn’t understand anything about the club in the whole time he was there, particularly when our whole season was based around the United games during his time (that and survival). Or he has no respect for the club or the fans at all. I go with the latter.

Take everything you ever hear on talkSPORT with a pinch of salt.

Most of the time, they pick a subject, get two or more presenters to pretend to have opposing views on the subject and run the show based on the opposing opinions, or they decide they’ll all agree or disagree on a subject that’s a bit ‘out there’… and have people call/text the show who’ve been wound up enough with the bollocks that’s being spouted.

It literally came out of Stuart Pearce’s mouth. Regardless of what station or platform.

Watch the video, they come back off a commercial break and he makes the point himself. No prompting or otherwise.

Talk Sport exists to wind up idiots and get a reaction.

The absolute look of devastation that clinched it .. we get it though you know him wow
As I said, he's a friend of a friend, i never claimed to know him, I said I've spoken to him but you obviously know more about him from a clip on TV than I can gauge through being in a conversation with him

Seems I’m not the only one that can read someone that looks like the worlds fell out of its arse, like he looked that night .

as I said previously, I wouldn't know, I was there
Have a look at that talkshit clip you will see how bitter he is. 2 seasons back he was co commentating on one of our games so I was watching on a foreign channel with talkshit commentary and he was really having a go and from what I was watching had absolutely no reason to, had to f##k it off and put some other station on. Shortly after and I ain't joking Danny Mills raises his ugly head as co comm on another of our games and was very complementary, there was no comparison between the 2 City haters.

Nowhere near as bad as Ball or Clarke… or Neil or Coppell.

Most boring football but not the worst manager. The worst Pearce had us finish was 15th, Ball got us relegated with a midtable level team and Clarke set us up to get relegated even further with a team tipped for promotion at the start of the season (Royle couldn’t stop the damage done by the end of 97-98)… Neil and Coppell were a joke.

We didn’t score many goals at home and none from NYD onwards in Pearce’s final season and it really was boring, but others were much worse than him.

You’d imagine that we must barely have picked up any points during that run where we didn’t score at home, yet in the second half of the season in that boring Pearce season we actually won more points than we did in the second half of Eriksson’s season:
22pts in the last 19 games with Pearce (W6 D4 L9 F14 A20 GD-6)
20pts in the last 19 games with Ericksson (W5 D5 L9 F18 A31 GD-13)
(and Eriksson had money to spend while Pearce had none and had to sell our best players).

And there were some top away days with Pearce. Mpenza’s goal at Newcastle to keep us safe must still be one of the greatest ‘limbs’ I’ve ever been part of.
Statistically, you’re absolutely correct, but as outlined in your last paragraph, football is an emotive game & Stuart Pearce is the only manager who has ever made me want to stop watching City

So from my emotive perspective, he’s the worst manager I’ve seen by a country mile

Former for me, I think he is that stupid, 'at this moment in time'
