Why does talksport get so much stick?

Right i might get slagged here but talksport gets some major stick from us blues but to be honest i think its the best sport radio show going.

Okay it slags off city and arse licks the top4 but thats how they get people to ring in. They get under the viewers nose's and make them ring in thats their job.

But to be honest i like listening to it

To be fair i never listen to it anymore as it winds me up, but can see why people do tune in.

It gets stick because it doesnt give total support to City all the time. There are some on here who seem to call it regularly but clearly listen to it a hell of a lot.

I like listening to Goughy mainly because he does stick up for city with the money and his accent makes me laugh

The minute it adopts the 'opinion' slot, they can't apply any objectivity to an argument. The presenters are generally the bottom of the barrel - Gough, Irani, &C - and I abhor those programmes which go on air with nothing in the script beyond a gripe (more often than not at City) and a prayer, who rely on the mass of ill-educated wannabes phoning in with something that not one person on the planet particularly wished to know. It's not only TalkShite, every channel seems more and more inclined to this 'genre' instead of creating a proper programme with guests and suchlike. Costs too much, I fancy, and they can screw the punters who phone in with their often cretinous points by getting them to pay for the call at inflated rates.

I like listening to it whilst driving.....what other decent talk show is there to listen to ?
Its a radio station about sport, mainly football......why is that shit ?

It's a guilty pleasure thing.

You love to hate it because Collymore is an arse, Brazil an alckie, Irani just plainly not of this planet, Parry a desparate Alan Green wannabe, Hawksby & Jacobs a pair of arrogant pillocks, Durham a rabid tubthumper and Danny Spurs Bloke a pseudo intellectual Danny Baker.

In the process it then helps to make you feel better (maybe even superior) about yourself as a human being! But I can't help tuning in just on the off chance they feed my City obsession with some glad tidings.

It's not just the fact that some comments are extremely biased and anti-City, the whole programme is like reading the bloody Sunday Sport - it's just a vile little nonentity that I have no time for.
