Why does the club allow poor journalism? Is this the worst article ever?

Tony Evans is one of the thugs from Heysel. Personally I don’t waste my time finding out his opinion on anything.

Cant find the original link but scroll down five or six posts to a piece by Evans that was published in the times

Tony Evans is a paid (by the Independent) Shill and nothing more.

Don't let the fact that Tony Evans is a Scouser and a Liverpool fan get in the way of him writing the article.

Maybe Tony Evans could write an article on the following Liverpool related subjects.

1. 35 years on from Heysel (29th of May 1985), how have Juventus fans and their familes effected by the death of 35 of their loved ones, caused by Liverpool fans attacking Juventus fans, coped over those years?

2. Liverpool Football Club illegally hacking Manchester City's player database.

3. Liverpool's shirt sponsor Standard Chartered who have been ordered to pay $1.1bn (£842m) by US and UK authorities to settle allegations of poor money-laundering controls and breaching sanctions against countries including Iran.

4. The attack on City's coach by Liverpool fans (the Coach Wreckers) outside Anfield. And why Merseyside Police didn't make a single arrest on the night of the attack or after the attack?

This (City) Means More (to Tony)

Shock horror Liverpool-supporter pens article for the Independent which gets published yesterday. What does it mention?
1. State ownership. Tick
2. Money. Tick
3. Sports-washing. Tick
4. City ruining football. Tick

This fucker (Tony Evans) has been paid to write this shit. It’s about time the club brought these arseholes to task over their lies and continuing digs. What a bellend this fella is.
Same idiot who said that according to his sources City would get a three year Champions League ban. I am a bit numb to the same old shit that is rolled out whenever City start to dominate, it’s all very predictable and extremely boring.

The club can't stop things like this. It's an opinion piece. A shit opinion, granted, but the club shouldn't be getting its knickers in a twist over dickheads like this.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion but to be credible it has to be based on facts. This article is based on lies. City are not, and have never been, owned by a state. The ownership structure is clear and transparent. We have been audited independently for more than 10 years and the CAS case proved comprehensively that we have done nothing wrong financially.
To continue to label City as an "Abu Dhabi sportswashing project" is no more than racism because the nationality of our owner is irrelevant. Evans knows what he is doing and so does the Independent. It is reasonable for City to correct false information published about us by any media outlet. It is just business and protection of our brand.
