Go around the City and you will see Asians(Pakistanis, Indians, Sikhs, etc) wearing United tops. Especially the kids.

TBH, I can't remember the last time I saw an Asian wearing a City shirt around the city or seeing an Asian at a City match.

I live in India, and the answer to your question is quite simple. Most people know only of Chelsea and United. And the rest are gloryhunters.

That is probably true, but I still can't believe the lack of support for City across the Asian community of Manchester. Surely it's not just about winning is it?

I've noticed this.

I see a lot of black people at City, which is expected as Manchester is a diverse City.

Don't know why we don't attract the Asian population of Manchester though.

Indeed. City have always had loads of support from the black community. More so than United.

i can see a dodgy comment and 38 more pages on its way lmao!

Hopefully people will keep it sensible. Quite an interesting topic, if debated properly.

I'm pretty sure there's one or two users of this forum who are pakistani/asian origin

Perhaps football isn't that important in an asian household?

This is a good question I htink should be asked elsewhere.

I read somewhere its something to do with this generation of you g asian male wNting to seem more succesful than the generation of their parents and part of this image is to attach themselves to a club that is seen as succesful. I know a fair few asian lads who support Liverpool and Arsenal. Probably means if true that over the next few years we will see more asian fans.
