Modric is class and I would love him at City but the asking price is too much. I dont blame Spurs for asking for as much as they are though when you consider we paid £24 million for Milner and the likes of Henderson are going for £20 million!

Only kidding. Great player. I think it's down to price given the amount of time left on his contract whereas Nasri has less to go so may present better value in that respect. Great player though like I say. Be gutted if he went to the swamp (I know it's Chelsea who are in for him, just making a point).

Why would we want to sign Modric when Silva is a lot better and we could Nasri cheaper and also Modric once said that Spuds are and always will be a bigger team than us so he would just be a fickle bastard if we did sign him which I hope we don't

This is an embarrassing post. Milner at the same level at Modric, are you kidding me?! Modric is twice the player - in terms of touch, in terms of movement, in terms of vision. Modric, as was abundantly demonstrated last year if you'd actually bothered to watch any of their games, has the ability to dictate the play from deep or pushed forward.
Any Spurs fan who isn't completely mental will tell you that Modric is the single most important reason for their recent success. Bale was good in about 4 games last season, and VDV is waaayyy overrated. He's a highlights player, pure and simple. Occasionally scores a great goal (and, in the second half of the season, he wasn't even doing that), but he's mostly anonymous. Modric is their Silva - always moving, linking up play, creating chances. But you don't see that on the highlights, do you, so they're both criminally underrated.
tell me, you'd actually spend 40 million pounds on a midfielder like Modric? personally I rate the guy at 15-20 millions, max. he's a top 5 side playe, sure, but thats it. this is just subjective anyway, we'll see how he fares this season, wherever he ends up.

IMO Nasri is better than Modric, and i would rather get Nasri on a free than give Spuds £40 Million which could greatly improve their team if spent wisely.
