Why has Jo been allowed back?

We've played eight competive games, lost one, had two goals against us we're fourth in the league despite having had some major palyers out injured. These injuries have no doubt affected the managers plans and he has had to adjust them accordingly.

Isn't it fair to say that Mancini has a reasonably good idea what he is doing?

He sees what we see on the pitch - a player that is lacking in confidence and isn't really justifying his place on there at the moment. But surely he isn't there because RM feels sorry for him or he's his best mate. There must be something happening on the training ground that isn't being transfered to the pitch. Maybe Jo is banging goals in from every angle on the training ground and that's why he's being given a chance in so many games.

Taking the piss out of the guy isn't going to help him. If Mancini thinks he's got something about him then I'm 100% behind the pair of them.

For players not performing to the best of their abilities on the pitch take a look a few miles down the road - a certain Mr. Berbaflop. Not sure that name can be applied at the moment. Baconface stuck with through all the flak and now look at him - six goals in seven games.

Lets give the guy a chance - he's on the pitch in a City shirt - why shouldn't we?

I give the guy a chance every time he plays and support the team as vocally as I can.

But that doesn't mean we can't have a bit of banter on a forum. But really my point is that I don't see ANYTHING to suggest Jo is a great striker underneath the gangly exterior. Picking up on your Berbaflop analogy, Berbaflop on his very worst day looked like he had the talent. Jo does not. Shame, because he seems like a decent lad and I actually quite like him. I just don't think he has it.

Yeah, do people really believe that Mancini sees Santa Cruz or whatever as the better option, but is playing Jo because they get on well? It's a childishly naive point of view.

He played Bellamy last season, regardless of schisms. He's going after results, nothing else.

Does anybody remember when Niall Quinn first started playing for us. He looked like a new born foal trying to get to its feet at times. Then look what happened.

The piss taking I was refering to was more about the 'give it to Jo' shouts then cheering when he got it that was happening at Wigan.
He must have something - he's our top scorer isn't he?

Carlos is top scorer with 3 league goals.

Jo is our joint top scorer in the Europa League.

Along with Balo. And Sweep.

And Silva.

And Boyata.

Seriously, I thought Ade and Jo linked up together reasonably well in the USA. Worth looking at on Carling Cup nights, perhaps, when Tevez needs a rest?

Brief interview with Jo on club site.

Anyone who says he hasn't got talent - the goal they show against Pompey seemed pretty good to me. I can think of a few players that would have missed it.
