Why is it ?

We went to one of these outlet malls yesterday, Mrs walker needed some new clothes apparently.
Anyway whilst she was off spending my money I went into the Levi shop. They had these nice faded Levi's for $29, about £13, that's really cheap I thought, and I'm off to New Zealand soon so need jeans there in winter.
Then I noticed buy another pair get 60% off.
So I thought that's great the 2nd pair will only be $11, about £6 !!
I decided to buy 2 pairs.
Got to the till with them and both pairs were $11, both 60% off !

So 2 pairs were $22, which is cheaper than 1 pair for $29

I asked the girl "why is that?" She just said (with a lovely smile)... "they're on sale"
