BBC website claims that Capello is considering playing Jagielka at RB on Friday. Also suggesting dropping Cahill and replacing him at CB with Jones.

What, therefore, is the point of having Micah Richards in the squad in the first place ?

Absolute joke.

At least we can take comfort in the fact that Micah will be in and around that England squad a lot longer than the clueless clown Capello.

Been saying it for fucking years. England have been crying out for a good, solid RB and they have a ready made one in Micah Richards, yet that wrinkle faced arsehole prefers Phil Jagielka? Bollucks to him.

Micah has been the best right back in the country for at least a year now. No idea why he can't recognise that.

Just because he doesn't start doesn't mean he shouldnt be on the squad. The squad isn't made up of 11 players, clam down. He is still young.

The sooner Capello's gone the better, he hasn't got a clue how to manage the England side. He still plays Lampard and Gerrard together for crying out loud! I think Richards must have done his missus or something, it's outrageous for him not to be first choice RB. Don't worry Micah the tool will be gone soon.

Walker will play IMO.

Micah is probably about 10th in line, Capello for whatever reason will play anyone before him.

How has jones, cleverly (i know injured) wellbeck, henderson improved so much over the summer that they warrant england starts. If these are genuinely the best in their positions that england have its a sorry state. Total bias by england towards the rags and dippers. This is why I dont follow england, some playets are picked because of who they play for.

There must be some reason why Capello doesn't play him,I mean, he's been around the game long enough to know what he is looking for.

I'd say tactical awareness or positioning, but Micah has improved so much with both these over the past 2 seasons or so, and he's no worse at these now than Cole is at left back. Coupled with his physical strength, pace and aerial ability, then ???

Without slating Capello, who surely must know his stuff, I genuinely can't see a valid reason for not playing him. Yes, Jagielka can play there, Jones too probably, but it's a bit of a slap in the face to be looked over in favour of centre backs playing out of position, then possibly a youngster too in Walker.

I can only think that he doesn't want 2 attacking full backs away from home, and that whilst to the media he claims he wants to win, in the back of his mind it is all about avoiding defeat tomorrow.

Still, given all that and putting blue shades away for a while, Micah is still the outstanding candidate to me. Walker looks promising, sure, but no more than that at this stage. Jagielka will give you solidarity, but to me he often looks one dimensional at full back. Jones is a good footballer and could probably do the job, but why risk it when Micah is comfortable in that position?

The Cleverley call up for prior games does perplex me completely though. I could be proven completely wrong, but he just doesn't look good enough. Not in United's team, not in the England team. I know one guy who is familiar with one of the United coaches and he is of the same impression, could well be a fix 'er up and sell 'er on jobbie. Mentioned in the same way as Chadwick and Gillespie - good, but not great. Jonjo Shelvey probably looks a better player imho. I don't think we should start playing the 'biased England/Scum' card though, I think it's more a point of laziness - oh, he's in their team and they won the league, so he must be good enough, despite not actually playing at all until a month ago - and of believing the hype that inevitably surrounds anyone English with an unfamiliar name who plays well against an MLS team in pre-season, thus becomng the next Gazza, until they either fail to meet expectations or crumble under them and are hung out to dry, or never measure up because of a lack of ability and are hung out to dry minus the extra gossipy stories.

Happy for him to get a few minutes in total , I want all our players ready for Villa injury free.

Richards has plenty of time to make his mark for England.

Micah doesn't think he'll get a look in while Capelo is in charge
In Podgorica, Richards, who expects to return to centre-back eventually – "I just don't know when" – still hopes to catch Capello's gaze: "He's the man who's going to make the decisions. I believe in my ability. The manager of Man City believes in my ability to start in the Champions League. But if he [Capello] feels there's someone stronger in that position, I just have to wait.

"I made my England debut at 18 and I think I'm twice the player I was then. There's no reason I can't get in there but it's about biding my time. Chris Smalling's come in at right-back. He doesn't like playing right-back but he's doing a good job for Man United and I'm happy for him because we're good mates. When I get my chance, I'll do the same. I do rate Glen Johnson. Kyle Walker's been doing very well. People always say there aren't many right-backs."
