Hundreds of them are appearing during this spell of cold weather.

For those who might be interested heres an informative article

water gets into cracks in the road, freezes and expands causing the cracks to widen, and eventually causing potholes to form

should this (freeze-thaw) occur in exixting potholes then it will cuase them to expand

go geography a level!

I actually spotted this for the 1st time this year and I'm 33 and spend most of my days driving, can't for the life of me think why I haven't noticed this before. But there are now shit loads on my route home from work and have had to develop a new approach to my well studied route!!!

A level?
And they say the curriculum isn't being dumbed down!

This only highlights a major national problem thanks to years of neglect and underspend on our highways, which is not down to highways/roads departments but to those who set the budgets.

I need to get in contact with my local council, clipped a pot hole down daisynook the other day and it's took a chunk out of my alloy. :( not happy about it.

good luck with that one mate....had it happen a few times...last one fractured my alloy....i took photo evidence and statements, but still got nothing out of tameside council...cost me nearly £800quid for new alloys as i had to buy a complete set of 4 again
