why mancini why?

We can't play our best team every single game. Why do so many City fans find this so hard to understand? We had a strong team out yesterday with the crown jewels on the bench, one of whom was brought on at half time. Do you just expect us to play our best team against sunderland, liverpool and the rags? Why do you think all the other managers in the prem at the top clubs constantly rotate their players? Get used to it, it's part of being a successful club that has a lot on its plate and a good squad of players to use

What is the point of having a large decent squad if only the best 11 ever play?

To be honest the 11 that started looked good enough to beat Sunderland, if they had this thread wouldn't even exist!

To Mancini's credit, when it wasn't working he made changes.

In the end we got no points and no one got a rest, poor day all round.

Personally i though Rekik and Wabara weren't experienced enough to cope with Bendtner on their full debuts.

Suarez looked lost which is to be expected if you play him against Cattermole, he won't be ready for a good 3-4 years yet.

Roman was impressive but he has no pace, if Balotelli had played he would have exposed O'Shea more.

The thing where i thought Mancini got it badly wrong was playing Angus Gunn in net, he's only 15 and i just don't think he is ready yet to be playing infront of 40,000 people in a full blooded game.

By playing the EDS and Academy players yesterday i think Mancini has cost us the league, he should have played our best 11, they are paid £100,000 a week ffs, are they pansies?

I reckon Mancini should be playing best 11, in all Premier League games regardless whether they are top half or bottom half or regulation battlers. Depending on how strong United are in the second half this may have been the game that cost the title.

Stuff the FA cup and League cup.

The best 11 isn't necasarily the most prolific/skilful. A 50% fatigued world class striker isn't any where near as useful as a 100% energetic/fit run of the mill premier league striker, and Man City's rotated players are much better than that.

Two games in three days forces rotations to be made and to be fair the first 11 put out against Sunderland were more than capable of winning it by a large margin. That would have left some serious quality to throw at the scousers tonight.

Apart from some life on the line defending and a bit of luck going the wrong way, Man City would have been 3 points clear and have have had a reasonably fresh team to play tonight.

No mistake, just bad luck. Good luck for the rest of the season.

He has put out two strong teams against two "weak" teams and on both occasions we didnt play well enough to win or even score a goal. It's nothing to do with who the players were it's about the ones out there not playing well enough and to a large extent it's about simply not putting the ball in the net.

Silva and Aguero were on for long enough and they failed to do it as well so who's to say it would have been different if we had started with the so called strongest team.Didnt we have the strongest team out against WBA?

It will be the same every game now as the opposition have been shown clearly how to play against us.Very deep with as many people back as possible. The scousers will do the same tonight and they will look to break fast against us.

For us it's all about getting that elusive goal and ideally early in the game to open it up.The goalscorers need to find their touch again.Simples.

Shall we win all 4?

The scousers are losing 2-0.
