I think when the Celtic press officer offered the match out to the various broadcasters, he/she was met with a response along the lines of, 'nobody cares'.

Not quite, Rangers haven't even entered the competition yet. The reason it isn't on TV is because Celtic never sold the rights to a UK or Irish broadcaster so they could hopefully fill the stadium.

I truly believe Scottish football is on its arse, and unless something drastic happens it will become even worse. By drastic I don't mean splitting the top 6 from the bottom after xmas, (would love some of what that committee was smoking that day), I mean something like allowing the Old Firm to come into the conference and work their way up. If they are as good as they think, they would be in the prem in 5 seasons straight, however my inkling is they would struggle to make the Championship top ten. Taking the OF out would give the other less big clubs like Aberdeen, Motherwell etc a chance to get CL football, thus making more money for those clubs and Scottish football as a whole.
