1) His departure (along with cesc's of course) has heavily weakened the creativity in this current arsenal team. Its absolutely incredible to think that just about this time last year, Arsenal were favourites for the title, but now they are almost a certainty to miss fourth spot. This move has tremendously reduced the threat of a title contender and one of the most brilliant attacking teams in the PL.

2) We prevented United from getting him causing them to have huge problems with creativity in their midfield. They have therefore, so often been forced to use their wingers as their primary form of attack play that just by nullifying them effectively or when they have an off-game, united just capitulate spectacularly. Examples of these would be the blackburn game (when nani was having a mare) and the newcastle game. This was also a primary reason for the culmination of the 6-1 as bobby identified this and made sure we negated their wingplay.

3) He is an young world-class young midfielder who has incredible attributes - pace, creativity and the propensity for a wondergoal. Sure, he has not shown fighting spirit when the chips have been down for us, but he has ALOT of potential and I have no doubt in the world that Roberto can mould him to be a world-beater for us in the coming years.

Looking at all of these points, 23 million quid seems like a steal for Nasri aint it?

These are just my thoughts... Please add on further if you will.

I hope he becomes the player he can be. Needs to do more from my persepctive. Could Mata have done just a good job if not better? I however still would have bought Nasri just to piss off the RAGS!

I'd agree with most of that mate. But id have number 3 as number 1. This time next year no one will question the wisdom of signing him.

points 1 and 2 mate. Mancini must have definitely considered this in making the decision to pursue Nasri. Also considering that he is an EPL-proven creative midfielder.

I will give points 1 and 2 ..
But im yet to be convinced he`s anywhere near world class, been a disappointment in my eyes , but im be patient with him and give him another season.

So we bought him so the rags couldn't?

And yes I'm a fan of Nasri.

The stat about him creating more chances-per-minutes than anyone in the league was eye-opening. I'm still confident in him, he just needs time and also needs to realise this isn't choker club Arsenal where players can go missing without being reprimanded it seems, he needs to be a constant presence and show more intensity.
