Why stand?

Well for starters I'm too nervous to sit down, even at home or the pub...

But why even justifying this thread with a response?

so you stand up when watching a game at home??

No of course not... I do pace around a bit beforehand though.

People seem to be incapable of showing excitement and/or enthusiasm while sitting, for some reason.

Although, I'm sure part of the standing is some kind of power game with the stewards/police, trying to show them who is in charge.

Or because its how most watched football in most grounds for the best part of 80 odd years.

i always stand up at games, both home and away, just makes for a better atmosphere. plus, i do it home to piss the twat of a woman that sits 3 rows behind me who insists on moanin
