Why the hate for Adebayor?

well said.
he is the new scapegoat of manchester city.
Yes. We love scapegoats, and my lord have we had a few over the years. I like the guy, and think he's had a tough year personally. Easy for us to say he should get on with it, but unless you're there you can't say. The shooting seemed to hit him extremely hard, and I think he hasn't quite recovered yet.

I rate Adebayor very highly. He doesn't look good on the eye but he cant half finish. Look at his scoring rate to prove that. The way we have played in the last couple of weeks hasn't suited Ade, if we have have a class creative midfielder who he can feed off as well as our current wingers he will bag you 20 goals + next season.

Im not looking for a scapegoat but..... he was shite against spurs, still rate him better than some of crap we've had up front previously tho

It is because he doesn't challenge for headers off long balls.

Not much else you can do with a goal kicks.

I dont think we should let him go but he seriously needs to up his work rate. When he first came he would not stop running, put in great performances, and jumped for headers!!! He does non of this now, about 100 people actually cheered when after 70 mins he jumped for a header against west ham. for someone who is about 6ft 5in he should win more headers than he does, he shoud try to win more headers than he does and he should stay in the box more rather than wondering out to the wing or the edge of the penalty area. The arsenal fans couldnt wait to see the back of him because he always just settled for "doing enough". Well im sorry, that isnt good eneough. Im not expecting him to put in 100% every game, but once a month wouldnt go a miss. Ade, up it mate or goodbye. I would love for you to prove me wrong but i doubt it.

i dont think hes lazy just laid back. i also dont think, irrespective of his height, that a high ball is not the kind of service he appreciates.

He does in the box. Not bothered further up the pitch.
