They signed a City reject who almost rejected them due to wages.

They signed Didi Hamann who changed his mind and signed for us instead.

They've got Owen Coyle as a manager - thats how attractive their club is.

They've got a crap stadium, practically no transfer funds and rely on frees loans and small transfer fees.

Bolton are a bunch of cloggers who would make my eyes bleed if I watched them every week. They're one of the most unattractive teams in the premiership.

I'm a Bolton Wanderers fan and I take offence at both of those posts. We've got a great stadium, it's one of the best in the league. I know we're not one of the most attractive teams in the premiership but we don't act like we are. We don't have unlimited funds but I honestly don't care about that and I'm certainly not jealous of City's money. I'm proud of my club and I'm proud of my town. So there!!

The City dislike of Spurs isn't just down to '81-you lot have had what I call "capital arrogance" for as long as I can remember...it's as much a North/South lifestyle/attitude thing as it is about football.
You pretty much epitomise the London-centric "Norvern mankeys" Essex boy attitude...when I think of Spurs,I always picture a load of late 30's billy big balls second hand car dealers turning up at CoMs in pink Pringle jumpers, waving their money about and telling us about how cheap the beer is "ap norf."

And you've also got to remember what we've had to deal with over the last 30+ years...you lot can only dream of the shit we've taken from every man and his dog.Everyones favourite lovable loser,everyone's whipping boy.Cup for cock ups and all that.

Imagine spurs playing Gillingham in the third division play off final,when Arsenal had just won the treble?

You have absolutely NO idea......Arsenal are a big club,but they are nothing to have to live as rivals with compared to the rags-espeacilly how far away we were away from them.

But for all the bullshit and ridicule we'eve faced-it's made us tough.No wonder that we're enjoying the ride-what you see as "arrogance" we see as being able to put our heads above the parapet and tell everyone "we're in with a shout" without having them shot off.

Great post, the thing I find with Spurs fans is the fact that they're pretty likeable when there's just one or two of them. As soon as they get in a crowd bigger than 5 though they become completely different, it's very strange.

Can totally agree with the Spurs fans in crowds. Living down south now, I know numerous spurs fans and I find them quite an intelligent bunch in 1's and 2's. Get them in a crowd though and they turn into a bunch of yobs. I've walked out of a couple of pubs just because of the bad atmosphere

To get back on topic, totally agree that most of those criticising us would change their tune if it happened to them.

I will make one admission though. Once someone else has a go at us for our money, I do usually then start rubbing it in their face. I know it doesn't really paint us in a good light but once someone has a go at us, I cant resist winding them up further

Really irritates me, and when it comes from fans who are nothing but irrelevant teams to us, that pisses me off even more.

All my ex' family are Bolton fans and every time i mention something city related, they've always got something to say...look at this from facebook earlier as an example, i wrote that as my status....

Tbh all this hatred for us doesnt piss me off at all...what it does is give me a sense of one upmanship...which is a not a bad thing at all.

so to all you City haters out there...thankyou very much..you make me feel good about my club.
