Wifi Issue on MacbookPro

Hi Guys,
my MacBook Pro has stopped auto connecting to my WiFi router on start up, but connects when I click on the WiFi icon on the home screen/desktop. I am new'ish to macs so sorry if this is really basic, just need the convenience back of auto connection. Running OS x Mountain Lion.

WIfI.....Open Network Preferences

Make sure that ''ask to join New Networks'' isn't selected

Click 'Advanced' and under WiFi make sure that ''Remember Networks this computer has joined is selected''

that should do it.......
