Wilfried Bony - Loan to Stoke

Anyone else think it's not beyond some player's to have had their age altered, and actually be 4 or 5 years older than their passport.

Having visited the Ivory Coast and lived in West Africa I can say with absolute certainty that is possible, though whether that's the case with Bony I couldn't speculate.

Nacho was given equal opportunities as well. Pellegrini hasn't done any different to what any manager would of done in Bony's case and give him enough chances as possible. He did on a few occasion look like a useful squad player

His general fitness has been badly affected by his illness. Some people will never be the same after a major illness, this is possiblely the most likely senario.

It is nowadays, all players that are anyway decent are tracked from a young age with biological passports. Wilf has been in the club system since he was 12.

Wilfried Bony on his lack of minutes at Stoke: "When you hear everything is fine and you don't play, it's crazy. It is more than difficult."

Bony: "I want to know why, the coach told me I'm training very well and my attitude is very good. It doesn't make sense. It's painful."

Bony: "My agent told me there was an offer (from China) but I refused to go because my plan is to stay in the UK." [BBC World Football]

Mark Hughes should say to him that hes shit. Maybe that would clear things up. Oh well, another player who will be loaned out until his contract expires. Read a report that hes apparently on £120k a week, hopefully not or someone has done really bad job at negotiating. PL holders at that time and we probably more than double his wages.... Though it would explain why we are struggling to offload him to another club in Europe permanently.

Not sure if its true but I have a growing belief that we could generate a list of players who were signed based on one good goal they scored (usually against us). After Bony, Nugent is another obvious one. As was Bob Taylor. Paul Walsh is another although his goal was a header for, at the time a poor Bournmouth against united. Anyone got any suggestions to add?
