Will Football Be revamped? If So How?

I mentioned this in a thread few days ago. If there is no football for the rest of the year or longer is it time for a revamp and the distribution of wealth to filter down leagues? Which would need to happen for the change.

A premier 1 and 2

Premier 1 18 teams

3 relegation 1 play off relegation with the premier team who finished 4th 5th and won that playoff.

Premier 2 20 teams

Top 3 straight up playoff 4th 5th winner plays 4th from bottom in premier 1.


Championship 24 teams

Top 3 straight up playoff 4th 5th winner plays 4th from bottom in Premier 2.



The other teams have north and southern leagues.

Also here is one for you if there was a revamp they said premier 2 will be first filled with teams with a higher average gate what teams would they be and let’s name them..

Shouldn't they be chosen on merit, not history, otherwise it's no better than the Champion's League cartel.

Yes it can be is was just a suggestion one scenario! When you revamp a league a lot of teams will be against it so sometime you incentives!

If you have to premier teams one 18 one 20 that’s 38 teams and the premier money distributed 38 ways on league position the top 6/8 clubs won’t be happy but its time to change the structure of football in this country, maybe with less money coming in player wages will start coming down and fees.
 
Whilst it is a sensible suggestion worthy of thought it will not happen. We have all seen the greed of the various organisations where despite a fixture backlog the F.A. will not simply cancel the FA Cup, Uefa wont cancel their money spinning competition either so I don't see the clubs agreeing to give up money that would make a league competition more equal. There is also FFP to consider, it would allow the European teams to gain ground and our top 6, including us wont buy it.
Note: as stated I agree with your idea though.
 
Think they might try & work backwards from the 2020 World Cup when it comes to arranging fixtures/seasons. Not that I think they necessarily should.

I do like the idea of a league 1 & 2 combined then split approx N/S.

North Manchester already has a lower league side.
They are officially known as FCUM but are also referred to as Mini Rags, Splitters and Moston Red Sox.
Sometimes they are just referred to being w*nk*rs and tw*ts.

That’s all very well, but would you say Ipswich is in the south or north?

I ask because it’s 307 miles from Plymouth to Ipswich, and 267 miles to Mansfield, which is definitely in the north.

It's not as simple as a north/south divide.

Surely is not beyond the capabilities of the football authorities to sort something out with fewer long distance journeys for fans mate. Call it n/s or e/w, I haven’t got an atlas in front of me, but I’m sure it could be made to work, and over the course of a season would involve less travel miles than Ipswich or Plymouth fans face at the moment I reckon.

I am also called Phil,and I used to live in Moston.
However I went from Moston to Newton Heath,rather than Moston to Boston.
Oh and we are both anti FCUM, so we could be twins really. (A bit like how Arnie and Danny were twins in the film that was funnily enough named TWINS).

Ipswich will have to have a franchise move to Skelmesdale.
