Will Hughes play a strong side on Saturday?

We cannot take this game for granted and must field a strong team...Do we really think we are good enough to play a second string outfit ???No,at the moment we are not.

a strong team yes but no need for the first team...he could easily give robinho, swp (unless he wants to play) and kompany a rest and give some others a go...i am sure danny would love to get 90 mins against forrest to show hughesy what he can do

I'd play:
......................Hart....................
Zabaleta...Onouha...Haim...Garrido
....................Fernandes..............
Vassell..............Elano...........Ireland(C)
............Sturridge.......Jo..................

That team should be good enough to easily beat Forest. Also gives a chance to rest some players like Robinho, SWP, Dunne, Richards, Caciedo, Kompany (not Ireland) for the Pompey game. Also either Vassell of Gelson will take Ireland's place next week so they need match practice as they've been on the bench recently.

Liverpool came a cropper against non league outfit last year...with a strong (but not first) team.

Schmeichel

Logan
Onouha
TBH
Ball

Kompany
Fernandez
Vassell
Sturridge

Jo
Caicedo

No excuse not to beat Forest. Ireland, SWP need a rest.

but they didnt go out...and they dropped a fair few first teamers!

if we play something like:
Hart
Zab Onuoha Dunne Garrido
Vassell Elano Fernandes Hamman Ireland
Stugde

we will be fine

Why would we play a poor team? It's almost 2 weeks til our next premiership game.

we play Portsmouth a week after Forest.
I would play
Schmeichel
Zab Onuhuo Haim Garrido
Hamann Fernandez Kompany Robinho
Evans Sturridge
See how the game goes, and if a few goals up,take off Kompany,Robinho and one other 1st teamer to rest them.

I think Robbie may well want to play in this one, the top players have a desire to play every game. The FA cup is world famous, and seeing as he sets himself high standards and targets he will probably fancy himself for at least a hattrick against lower opposition (not saying he'll get it just that he may think that way)

How about

--------------------Schmiekel------------------
Onouha---Richards---Dunne---Ball

Zabaleta--- SWP---Ireland--- Garrido

-------------Jo---Sturridge--------------

Not much rest for some, but at least it might show what can be done with two good crossers of the ball in mid-field.

To play anything other than the strongest available team would be foolish. We have to try and reach the final. Also a good win would help boost confidence ahead of the league games we have coming up.

We are also playing a shite Forest team and we are currently in the bottom half of the Premier League it would seem 'stupid' to risk our best players when our fringe players should be able to beat them

You do recall Brighton, don't you?

Yes we all remember Brighton, but surely the point is that the team he picked there should have won. We should rest 4/5 players against Forest and still win. It's all about priorities. And of course we could still possibly lose (doubtful, I know) if we play our stongest 11. But we would be risking further tiredness, injuries, suspensions. We need league points.
