Will last night's events have consequences

Fuck me, ANOTHER Tevez thread?

No a thread on the Team, tevez can f*** off
Fair point, in that case, I hope it does have an effect. The rest of them have been skirting around the topic of Tevez in interviews for months, once he's gone they can carry on making their own history and slag him off all they like. I bet they won't slag him off though, cos players stick together.

I'm not bothered about Dzeko, I wouldn't be happy about being taken off either, especially not in a game like that, but if the boss said I played badly and wants to change it, I don't have much choice. It might've worked for Mancini if Tevez hadn't been such a tit, we did start moving the ball around better once Milner and DJ came on.

Agreed like I said at the start the club needs to instill DISCIPLINE asap. It's disgusting that fans earned their hard earned money booking days off travelling & watching us last night only for a twat like Tevez refuse to play. I don't believe other players will do anything similar and hope they are not any further deep routed problems within the club.

oh my god i remember last october saw tevez began his transfer/homesick saga and now it's almost october and he's here again! fuck off tevez.

i believe bobby still maintains his authority. he does not look devastated as some thread describes. he's determined and able to control the situation.

I don't think that Bobby Manc was devastated, neither do I think he's lost the dressing room. He was just absolutely blazing angry.

As others have posted, this should have a galvanising effact on the squad. I'm sure that there are several of them who would have felt that what happened last night was unacceptable. Once Zaba and Kolarov (the nearest on the bench) told them exactly what went on then it won't be a problem. I'll bet that the level headed ones like Kompany, Kolo, and Silva will have a lot of influence in this situation. Kiddo may also well have a big part to play.

It's been said before that even Tevez's Spanish is child-like. No place for a child in a professional football club dressing room.

I think thats best for RM to do himself moomba.

He has already said to the press ( unfortunately I might add ) that he will not tolerate that again from Dzeko.

He has already had words with Dzeko.

Link?

It's just Tevez. Dzeko acted poorly but it's nothing to worry about. Mancini will have words, perhaps fine him a weeks wages and stick him on the bench. Few weeks later all will be forgotten and every single player will know that they can't do it again.

I think (hope!) the only consequeneces of the actions and performance of last night is it'll give everybody the kick up the arse they need. Ironically, given Mancini's performance in the press conference afterwards, I think that's the kind of thing that wins friends and admirers not just in the press but amongst other clubs. I think it will change our perception in the papers, bring the squad closer together and rally the fans.

Big test on Saturday.looking forward to seeing how our players respond.Really hope Mr De Jong starts,it's easy to forget how important he is to the team.

The thing that's pissed me off with all this is the fact that people are now going back to Mancini's man-management skills when in fact it is just the general behaviour of one absolute dick. I'm a little unhappy with Dzeko's behaviour, I wouldn't have him down as that sort of guy but nothing more than a quiet word is necessary. For the rest of it, Mancini and the squad seem to be totally bonded and he has signed the right players with the right mentality imo.

In no way, shape or form should the behaviour of Tevez influence people's opinion of the dressing room. In fact Zabas reaction tells you all you need to know about the situation; the players, management and fans have had enough of one person at the club and it's not Mancini.
