“Chris’s reaction after was of shock, he paused before carrying on”. Don’t see the logic of this being evidence for it being genuine. As staged as it gets.

As if a professional actor wouldn’t act like it was ‘real’. “Ahhh and there’s ma man big Willie slapping me, what a joker, next up….” were never gonna be the next lines out of his mouth staged or not.

Indeed. It's amazing the amount of apologists for male violence on this thread. Almost every drunken brawl outside a nightclub is caused by some insecure prick who thinks he or his mrs has been insulted in some way. People acting like everyone gets provoked into violence and 'sees red' at one point or another. No, you only do that if you're incapable of controlling your emotions. A skill that most of us have managed by the tender age of 53.

Never expected to see this being a topic on here. It’s a rubbish incident that’s not even worth mentioning and at a money spilling glamorous fake festivity by the name of Oscar.
 
Modern social media nowadays means you have to pick a side and defend it to the hilt.

why not see it as Rocks joke probably went too far (but as a comedian you have to push the boundaries)
and you can also understand why Will Smith reacted like that- your wife being insulted and embarrassed about her condition.

I do think Smith should get some form of punishment for hitting him, that simply can’t be allowed.

Many a man has ended up behind Bars on this premise regardless of the provocation -but this is were the PC Wooly thinking of the last c20 years takes you. The perpetrator is somehow dressed up as the victim. An everyday occurrence in our Courts nowadays.
