Will Smith slaps Chris Rock at the Oscars

Thought I'd drop this in before the lock!

Despite the computer generated VO with its mispronunciations, it's quite interesting to read the comments of those in higher status, some of which has what's been posted:



Also noted is Pinkett-Smith's 'alopecia' issue. Sometimes this issue is caused by the mistreatment of your own head/ hair like having thin hair and dyeing it or whatever. Traditionally, alopecia is clumps of hair falling out producing bald spots, but this doesn't seem to be the case here.
In a small clip, you can clearly see her 'alopecia' is in a line across her head, which seems like a distressed pattern, not random spotting. This distressed balding can be when weaves or plaits are far too tight to the scalp and will loosen follicles over time if repeatedly actioned.

So, yeah, not always a 'medical condition' but can be self induced.

“Pursuit of Happyness” wasn’t bad, and I quite enjoyed “I, Robot.”

That said, I hope he goes away and gets the REAL help he needs, away from the manipulative Svengali he appears to have been hypnotized by, because I don’t need to see him for a good long while.

Coz He didn't in a million years expect a slap. Knowing Will had gone off script. He was trying his best to work with Whatever the Star who was about to win best actor was doing.

Even after he got slapped and was stunned. He still tried to keep working. Made a shock joke about what Will did. And had Will not yelled after he sat down. Chris would probably have finished his announcement and discussed it later.

This is just stupid. His Misses was roasted by a comic who's job was to roast Celebrities. This pretense that this is some everyday insult or attack on someone's Ms. Is silly at best.

It was a joke. Wasn't even a mean one. Compared her to the hottest woman with a buzz cut. Her and Will's insecurities are on them.

Not only will such jokes be at the next Oscar. I expect this to free comedians too become even raunchier and more dating. Daring someone to walk on stage. It's the Smith's who'd end up the losers in this episode.

And they are already losing. As they should.

If you don't like a Comedians joke. Heckle him. Or get up and leave.

In reality. Using the Alopecia as an excuse, was always just that, an excuse. She has talked openly about losing her hair at her red table show. She posted videos to her fans on some social media about it and about loving it. She's been spotted at different awards and shows with the buzzed look and ardonment on her heard including diamond studs. On multiple occasions, she's been complimented on her new look.

In all likelihood, it probably wasn't the joke that she didn't like. More likely than not it was Rock himself she didn't like. He made a joke about her not coming to the Oscars few years ago. The joke in essence suggested she wasn't the celebrity she thought she was.

I'd be willing to bet top dollar it was that joke that still had her miffed. And her reaction to the GI Jane joke probably had more to do with who was cracking it than what it was.

But either way, it was still Will who acted like trash. No one has to laugh at a joke they don't find funny if they don't want to. So Jada has no issue in my view regardless of her reaction. Will does.
