Will the Sheikh stick around once we've won everything?

The "Project" doesn't just include what happens on the pitch, it also includes surrounding area etc...
Don't worry there here long term so just sit back and enjoy!! :-)

This is also what I've been led to believe. If true, I suspect that it'll be in their interests to keep the club successful over the long term because having one of the world's top football clubs in the middle of the other planned developments will act as a magnet to draw people there to use those attractions.

Got no reason to sell, ever. The worst that would happen is he stops or dramatically reduces investment in the team at some point.

But when you consider how rich he and ADUG are, it'd take another global financial crisis past the scale of the one we've just been through to stand a chance of affecting his wealth.

it's all pocket money, even if he did 'lose interest' to a certain degree after a while, he'd still think nothing of investing say £30m a year in transfers (a hell of a lot by any standards other than the ones we've got used to in the last 2 years, and all you really need to keep topping up a by then hopefully already world class squad)

I don't really think we've got any worries on this score, despite what the wishful thinking of rival fans/the media might want to have you believe.

we're not only one of the richest clubs but also one of the most secure now, the latter is something that's been really underestimated I think.

one thing i have always thought is when a top owner billionaire leaves he would sign it on to someone else and not just leave the club in trouble like with Leeds, like a family member or friend, just say for instance shiek said i'm leaving at the end of the season, straight away i think you would get a number of people wanting to takeover from his end.

I don't think we have to worry.

Can't really do a Leeds anyway, because we're not being saddled with debt.

The worst that could ever happen if ADUG walked is we'd have to have a fire-sale of our best players, which would be shit but still a world apart from actually having the existence of the club threatened.

but yeah, it won't happen anyway...

I read a letter from the Sheikh a while ago that said they want to push City into total dominance and make us the biggest and most successful team in England and a name like the LA Lakers, NY Yankies etc

Winning a few trophies over 5 years won't push City to that level! United have built their pedegree over the last 50+ years, as have Real Madrid and the likes of LA Lakers are the same!
Forest were nobodies for 70 years, then along came Clough and thy had a great 10years! but recently Forest have been nobodies again! I'm sure our owners would want to build a more sustainable foundation for us and see us remain at the top for a long while!

Nothing lasts forever, ask Preston NE and a more recent/future example United!!! and in 100years time I can't see City or possibly any of the current top teams still being there, there's always a shift in power - Egyptians, Greeks, Roman Empire and the British Empire all had their day and soon China and India will run this world! it's the same in sport!

but i can see our owners sticking around for a good while, the Sheikhs not that old neither!!

Interesting about Forest. That could never happen these days, could it? Not without a big fuck off benefactor.

I thought the point was to associate AD with a successful club, if so then it would make no sense to get rid of that club when when it's at the peak of it's brand marketing powers.
