He's probably being a bit pessismistic about the top 4 bit but the winning the league thing is also a optimistic.

Chavski had come second the season before they actually won the league and still needed a shed load of money to do it and the special one.

Manure have the experience and will surely strengthen so they will still challenge.

Arsenal get written off every season but yet still challenge till the clocks go forward.

I wouldn't write off the blue dippers for top 4 but the Spuds and the red dippers won't be much of a threat. One teams bankrupt and will lose their only world class stars and the other will probably lose their manager to England and even if they don't HMRC will bang him up or their mid week European exertions will cost them.

if you really believe tottenham wont be a threat to you just 8wks after finishing 1 place above you then you will be in a for a shock,if ever a team was going to improve this year then it will be tottenham, europe or no europe,we have a very settled team that is so well balanced as you have seen 1st hand
all we are missing is that top draw striker to take us to the next level,im not a redknapp lover but i do not believe he would take the worst job in football in being englands manager,he just aint that stupid.
our squad is as strong as yours in most departments & in my opinion playing thursday, sunday is more taxing on a squad than tues, weds champions league games if we were to qualify, the reason we finished 4th last year is because we didnt make the usual wholesale changes & just kept it simple,i guarantee wherever you are in the league we are right next to you, this is the year when 5 teams will be fighting for the title, chelsea & man utd have been caught now
sounds about right
