But not away, or either home or away in the cup!
So will our new signings guarantee us to beat Stoke every time we play them? Unlikely, they are pretty good at home.
Silly question. No-one is guaranteed to beat anyone at any time regardless of who is brought in. Will new players give us a better chance? Well obviously if they are an improvement on what we have, that doesn't mean it's nailed on though and never would.

above nited this year,im not putting my kneck out until weve both stopped strengthening our squads.

I think that we have every chance of finishing above them.

I also have getting AT LEAST 4 points off them as "Non-negotiable" this season, along with a top 4 finish and some Silverware - ANY Silverware.

Even the most biased Ushited fan. OK - scratch that - not them.

Even the most biased pundit / commentator would admit that UTD got very lucky in a number of games last season - what was it - 11 own goals and how many points salvaged in the last 5 minutes of normal; time and the last 10 minutes of time added on?

They even managed to get a new category of time added on (Swamp derby) - for "goal celebration" - never been heard of since.

They have not so far strengthened their team (Smalling - nah. Hernandez? maybe) and the likes of Giggs, Scholes and Van Der Sar aint getting any younger.

I know that it is stupid and illogical, but I would rather finish (just) behind them and smash them in both league games than finish above them and lose to them twice again.

The points against United don't matter hugely in the scheme of things, although of course fans want them.

League position and to a lesser extent cup glory is what matters.

Top 2 would represent success.

3rd or 4th a bare minumum.

Lower a disaster.
