This allows all of Foden, Bobb (who can hug the touchline more and come inside) and even Bernardo to play that right midfield slot (as well as Cherki) - the overlapping fullback then provides the width on the eight hand side...

This would be ideal as we need that fullback position sorting

A few seasons ago he played there pretty often drifting infield. That's an option if Pep wants an overlapping fullback and to play pretty narrow. Cherki could do similar. Bobb would be the option who can go outside more, though more with intelligence and vision rather than pace.
