Will we win the league this season? No

It’s gone for me… anything else is a bonus

It’s the hope that kills you
Must admit I thought the Burnley game was where we lost it. I know we won but should have scored more and we were hardly convincing. Hope I’m wrong. Keep winning and keep the pressure on. Keep it exciting

No you thought we lost it months ago. Probably when we dropped points at west ham.

Now you just think we have just lost it again

Looking at the Palace side today, we might have an easier test than expected midweek. Mateta will come in, but I would be stunned if they didn't rotate a lot of the team and it's largely a strong g one today.

We have more than a sniff still. Come on you Irons!

We will win all our remaining games.
Arsenal will win today and v Burnley.

We just need to be level on GD [or better]
going into last game v Villa as Arsenal
will not beat Palace. Forget all the Palace
and Conference Final it's not about them.
Its about Arsenal not getting over the line.

Arsenal have WestHam and Burnley to get
+ve GD to Us prior to last game. We have
Palace & Bournemouth so will not be easy
but as we would need to beat Villa we would have that extra game to overturn a small -ve
GD prior to that game.

Highly, unlikely, but there is a sceario where Palace still need something heading into the final day. Losing today, us next, Brentford away and Arsenal home are not easy fixtures - just needs a massive effort from West Ham. Come on your Irons.

So the Burnley game (which we won) was where we lost the title, rather than the Everton game (which we didn't win)? That's quite some mental gymnastics right there.

Anyway.......come on you Irons!

Fellow blues, please join me in prayer to the football gods:

Oh footballing heavens, hear our cry,
From blues, and the claret and blue,
And every neutral soul who dreams of drama today.
Grant strength to West Ham United
As they march into battle against Arsenal.
May their tackles be strong,
Their counterattacks swift,
And their finishing blessed with the accuracy of legends.
Guide every pass into space,
Every clearance into safety,
And every shot beyond the keeper’s reach.
Let the woodwork favour the Hammers,
Let VAR stay merciful,
And let stoppage time bring chaos worthy of football folklore.
For the believers in Manchester City,
For rivals setting differences aside,
And for fans everywhere who simply want a title race alive until the very end —
We humbly ask for one mighty performance.
May bubbles rise,
May the London Stadium roar,
And may today become one of those glorious Premier League stories retold for years.
Amen.

The real damage to our title ambitions was done drawing away at Sunderland, West Ham and Chelsea at home plus the away defeat to the rags, only 3 points out of 12.

However hope springs eternal so they say, lets see if Arsenal have shit their bed come 6.30pm today. CTID
Not to mention only getting 1pt out of 6 from Spurs, even being 2-0 up in one of those games!

I can't see it. Arsenal have fixtures they might have hand-picked if they could. We have absolute horrors; Palace at home has often been a banana skin, Bournemouth away is very hard now, and Villa are no slouches. Really hard to see how we win from here. The dropped points have obviously cost us. We dropped far too many. Had we, say, dropped 6 points from winning positions, instead of a league-leading 12, well, it's a different story.

Given the problems with rebuilding, the loss of Rodri so often, by far our best player when fit, Foden's terrible form, etc, to be where we are is remarkable.

Will we win it? Highly unlikely. Looking at the bookies' odds, they have Arsenal as about 7.5 times more likely to win than us, with 3/10 plays 9/4. They are rarely wrong. I am not being pessimistic, just pointing out the obvious. If we win it, it would be extraordinary.

Arsenal will sweep West Ham aside, I believe. Sadly. Put it this way, they should...as we should have when we drew with them, throwing away another 2 points.

I love an upbeat positive post

I would like to believe again but looking at the form of WHU, it looks like they will get the brakes beaten off them. The other teams ARS have to play are playing for nothing in the PL. Would be a monumental bottle if Arsenal manage to lose it from here.

West name haven’t lost at home in 6 matches. That’s not awful form?
