World class is used far too freely these daysGvardiol needs a partner he trusts but for me he's a world class footballer and the future of our back 3/4. I think if we told our full backs to close people down before they cross it we'd also be in a better position!
I only said it once. I'll say it about 3 of our players in total. 4 if Phil becomes Phil again. Is that too many times?World class is used far too freely these days
But adding Mbeumo and Watkins might, particularly when they don't have midweek European football to sap their resources.
I like Gvardiol, world class he is not. Foden before last year then absolutely.I only said it once. I'll say it about 3 of our players in total. 4 if Phil becomes Phil again. Is that too many times?
Well we agree on everything else so thats nice!I like Gvardiol, world class he is not. Foden before last year then absolutely.
Rodri is world lass
Haaland is a world class finisher
Gvardiol has shown glimpses of being a very good player, Defensively he hasn't been consistent enough yet.
It's blasphemous, but I don't think we'll win the league again with pep. Not unless the teams around us majorly collapse. That said I also think next season will be pep's last year.Think we might have a fallow few seasons like we did between 2014 to 2018. The transfer activity reminds me of some of the head scratching signings we made back then where we pissed away a lot of money on very average players. Difference is now we don’t have someone of the calibre of David Silva, KDB to dig us out of trouble in the creativity department.
I am predicting 82-85 points, I don't think it will be enough to win. You have my permission to bookmark.Nope. Bookmarked and saved until May 2026.
I'm around that 84 /86 but only need to be out by 3 or 4 points and 89 could well be enough.I am predicting 82-85 points, I don't think it will be enough to win. You have my permission to bookmark.
Well it was more than enough this year from memory. It must be said that the dippers took their foot off the peddle a bit down the home straight. Your best chance of winning a league is always when no serious challenger emerges in the spring, or at all.I'm around that 84 /86 but only need to be out by 3 or 4 points and 89 could well be enough.
Crazy that suddenly after 10 games last season we stopped being Peps winning machine, when the fear factor is lost it’s very hard to recover. His enormous ego will be desperate to prove to the world last season was a freakish one offIt's blasphemous, but I don't think we'll win the league again with pep. Marginal favourites, don’t think they are currently stronger than they were last season.Liverpool the team to beat and will be heavy favourites i think.
Have signed very well
The Jota tragedy will bring them closer together I also think.
The KDB loss of legs was one of the reasons why we didn’t do as well last season so I guess it will still be felt next season unless someone steps up.Think we might have a fallow few seasons like we did between 2014 to 2018. I’d absolutely take top 4 and a year or so transition if the football is more entertaining. It was turgid last season mostly.I think Pep needs to have a serious rethink....we've been sussed and quite a while ago, silly mistakes and not clinical enough, far too regimented and easy to read, factor in KDB will no longer be able to rescue us....but apart from that !!!!!! Just let the football be enjoyable and attacking like the good old days, a few more 5/6 - 0 thrashings will do us fine please.
I agree in part but has we know players come and go and we do tend to pick up some nuggets.Think we might have a fallow few seasons like we did between 2014 to 2018.
