Will we win the league this season?

I'm going to stick my neck out here, and say that if we beat the Dippers at our place, and don't lose at theirs, we'll win the league.

I still don't see the Arse as contenders, and I don't think the Dippers are anywhere near as good as those first five matches suggested.

If Phil has the season we're hoping for, if Doku continues in the form, and Haaland keeps banging them in for fun we are absolutely in with a chance. Lot's of "ifs" but there is far more reason to be confident now than after we got dicked by the Spuds.
 
Are Palace dark horses this season ? their form has been incredible.

Liverpools defence is not great. Missing out on Guehi might cost them the league this season but I think they’ll fix that in Jan so we need to catch up and sort ourselves out, have the new signings settle and get our confidence back before then.

We have an easy October, we have to win all of those games.

I don't think our league chances have much to do with form or other teams. The only thing that can beat us IMO is injuries. Pep is still the best coach in the world and we still have an incredible group of players. Rodri needs to stay fit. Foden needs to stay fit. Haaland needs to stay fit, etc. If we and every other team in the league didn't suffer a single injury until the end of the season we'd win, even from here. At our best we're still the best.


(I don't think we'll win because the likelihood of that happening especially in Rodri's case is vanishingly small. I'd still be happy with top 3 from here)

Can’t trust our injuries either, if we’re 5 points behind with four games to go I might get excited.

Also, as much as poor choices late in the game like last week won’t mean we’ll finish midtable, big wins against the worst teams in the league like Wolves and Burnley shouldn’t make everyone start saying we’re going to win the league.

I think I said the same about Amorim and was wrong, but I think Glassner is too smart to take that job especially midseason.

Chelsea next summer would be my guess.

If he has any intelligence he'll stay the fuck away from that graveyard, I'm starting to think maybe he should be the one to replace Pep.
 
‘Still think it might be a step too far this year, but you never know. If we stay in contention until the new year and have some luck in the injuries front, we have experienced on our side…

That said, it’s far too early to be having this discussion (although I acknowledge the irony that I have posted on the ‘will we win the league thread’, of my own volition).
