Will we win the league this season?

I agree with this. City are improving and have a number of players who are talented but are not at their full potential (Khusanov, Marmoush, Savinho, Cherki ?, Reijnders, Bobb) and Rodri of course. We also have strength in depth now. Bernardo came on and ran and managed the game very well from deep.

Arsenal are relying on set pieces to win games. I think if we can stay close there will come a period when they will drop points. I want Man Utd to beat Liverpool today, or take points from them. Liverpool look unbalanced this season. They have a lot of attacking threat but their defence looks weak. I don't think Liverpool are strong enough to win the title this season, nevertheless I want them beaten today.

Yeah what impressed me yesterday was, when we made the subs, we looked a lot more like City of old. Cherki, Bobb and Bernardo all keeping the ball, passing and moving and we looked excellent. Created another good few chances for Haaland too as a result.

So there's definitely a lot more to come and we look like we have that versatility and ability to win in different ways which, looking at Arsenal, they aren't currently capable of.

If you truly believe Liverpool are not strong enough to win the title then there is no way we want Man United winning today. United being back after winning at Anfield. It will be all we hear about until the new year.

Yes.

I dont think that Pep has truly figured this squad out yet tactically and we are still winning games. Can't see anyone else in the league having a runaway season so we're right in there.

Long way to go we just plodding along stay under the radar let’s keep saying it’s a two horse race Liverpool Arsenal I’m happy with that

Perhaps I hope Liverpool are not strong enough to win the title and I don't completely believe it. In my gut, I want Man Utd to win this game. I hate Liverpool more than Man Utd. My feelings about these clubs have changed over the years.

I don't think City are under the radar any more. How can we be with Haaland performing miracles. We also have Donnarumma. Foden is also firing. These are some of the best players in the world, and they don't fly under the radar.

We will probably be 2nd or 3rd favourites for the league but by now, we are going to start entering peoples consciousness as title contenders. City fans and players are beginning to believe this. This is also important. Self belief is very important in football.

I get what you mean, however you have seen how shit Utd are this season, I think best we can hope for is a draw in all honesty

Our defence has improved massively but still feel we are easy to "get at" and perhaps our defence isnt quite as good as what ylthe numbers suggest, deffo think Arsenal have the edge defensively

But with Haaland the way he is we've got goals they dont, even if we lack firepower outside of Haaland

Then i think Liverpool have the most firepower across the team, defensively theyre horrible and they wont win the League if they cant figure it out but they have great players

Injuries are huge, Haaland for us, Rice/Saka for Arsenal and Liverpool losing another CB or Gravenberch

Won't lie, I'm kinda excited, feels like it's going to be a proper title race this year

If we had a fully fit Rodri, we would be genuine contenders. One player, is all it takes, I think. Stones playing well for 25 games would also be huge. Both, unfortunately, won't happen.

A fully fit Rodri would be great and make us better but it isn’t the big thing it was this time last year. This calendar year think it’s 27 games played we have the most points and most goals, in the main all without Rodri. Gonzalez is a very capable stand in and we could win the league with Rodri being rotated regularly.Same with Stones.

Stay in touch, as we are and see what happens from January onwards. We are improving and Arsenal still don't look the unplayable force you would expect after so many 2nd place finishes and so much investment.

We may invest again in January to close the gap further and if Rodri is back to playing week in week out we will go up another couple of levels.
We have an excellent spine in Donnarumma, Gvardiol, Rodri and Haaland. Obviously Rodders is the missing link at present, Iike you say let's see where we are in January and hopefully we are still in the mix.

Signs are encouraging, we look stronger in defence and if we can get Rodri fit and playing to his usual levels and get Cherki integrated into the team we will be a force to be reckoned with.

I think we are one big tactical tweak - ala treble Stones from - being scary.
I'm currently reading Marti Perarnaus first book about Pep from his first Bayern season and there always seems to be the running thing of him taking a few months to figure things out. He has a lot of new faces and First Year Syndrome is a common thing.

But his strength as a manager is his pragmatism and adaptability so I'm interested to see what this all looks like in the 2nd half of the season.

I want United to lose today and I want them to lose their next game as well. I want Amorim to be sacked and the club to subsequently drown in debt, chaos and false promises.

I also hate Liverpool but that's more to do with their sinister control over the media. Anfield is also the only ground where Ive ever been attacked, and irony upon irony, it wasn't even a City game.

Back to the main topic and until his team mates start contributing, we're just one Haaland injury from a crisis
Alternatively he might stay fit and score 50 goals.

I said multiple times on here last season, amidst the gloom that was mostly caused by a shocking injury crisis, that our spine was still strong and we'd be challenging again before long. Since then we've added Donnarumma and it's now as good as any in world football:

Donnarumma - world class keeper

Dias and Gvardiol - quality centre backs

Rodri - world's best player

Foden- world class attacking midfielder, PL POTY in 23/24

Haaland - world's best striker

We're a bit weaker on the sides than we have been in the past but if we get these guys on the pitch most weeks we'll be there or thereabouts in May.

Heavily dependent on Haaland’s goals so far.

Need to find a way to get Marmoush amongst the goals and need more goal contribution from the wingers. Reijnders needs to become more Gundogan esque arriving in the box for important goals.

If we can sort the above we’ll be in the conversation.
