Bottling hasn't historically been an issue for us to be fair.

Arsenal have a great defence but surely they can't go all season playing for free kicks and corners like Stoke in their prime. They will have to open up at some stage. I know George Graham won it for them with a very negative team but football has changed since then. I think they won't lose many, but like last season they will have too many draws.
 
Without being daft we could easily by 3 points clear at the top whilst gelling in new players.

BHA and Arse could easily have been 2 wins.

'Top half of the league' after 7-8 games isn't a useful notion. Arsenal needed a very late goal to avoid a defeat against us at their ground. Given both teams' xG, they didn't deserve to win even though they had 2 days more to prepare for the game.

Very much agree with the last sentence, though. We are a work in progress indeed. Given that we didn't have a proper preseason, missed some players in the first games and several new players are still finding their feet in the league, we are doing very well.

So glad, I’m in the half full team.
 
I still believe Arsenal and Liverpool will be too strong. Just looking at the bench of both teams it’s full of quality and options. We’re not out of it but we’re gonna have to be really lucky with injuries to sustain a title challenge.

To add to that 2/1/25 to date:

City W17 D5 L5 Scored: 57 Conceded 24 GD33 Points 56

Arse W15 D9 L3 Scored: 46 Conceded 20 GD26 Points 54

So YTD our form is best so far. No one won as many games. No one scored more. No one other than Arse conceded fewer goals. Not bad considering a month ago this season's title race was a 2 horse race between Liverpool and Arsesetpiece

Will we the league? Fuck knows but I'm optimistic we have a great chance

Edit: On exchanges we are now 2nd favourite and Arsenal shortened as well.

Arse 1.81 = c55% implied probability
City 4.6 = c22%
Pool 6.0 = c17%
