Sunderland agree.Because Chelsea actually have a bit of backbone about them and aren’t Spurs.

Of course I have ffs. He’s improved massively! Gone from mid table level to Europa league level. Now we still need improvement on that. Otherwise you get…what we’re getting. 1 PL goal all season.Have you actually watched city this season? Doku has been one of the standout performers. Maybe you should be a tarquin.
Yep, that’s a fair point. We still have to come to the Etihad btw. That is the most intimidating away day for Arsenal bar none.
the thing is, is that the rodri affect was entirely predictable and was talked about a lot over the summer. This team and squad will always have a chance, especially if Haaland stays fit all season and keeps on scoring. It’s just a shame Rodri can’t stay fit, as we miss him enormously in midfield. We have to improve our away form if we have any chance of clawing Arsenal back. We also need Arsenal to start losing games as well.
If you think Doku is the problem then I think you need to look elsewhere. Calling Doku europa league level is beyond embarrassing.Of course I have ffs. He’s improved massively! Never said Doku is the problem. Our main problem is the collective wingers we have. Bobb and Savinho are non entity’s so it’s pointless me debating about them. I have faith in Doku so that’s why I’ve only mentioned him.If you think Doku is the problem then I think you need to look elsewhere. Calling Doku europa league level is beyond embarrassing.

There were numerous people saing we needed more physicality in midfield and while I like the purchases of Cherki and Reijnders, we needed something else as well and that is legs and physicality.
We also talked about the need for a right back and despite Nunes significant improvement teams are still targeting him and he does struggle still at times....the same can be said for NOR on the opposite side who has been great but still not ideal. RAN im on the fence about but he needs time.
lastly we talked about the lack of quality outwide in forward positions...this is still a problem and its either Doku or nothing
Yep, game on again next week when we stroll past Leeds and Arsenal drop points at Chelsea.Apparently it was game on after we beat Liverpool and now we have no chance again. If we are within touching distance come February Arsenal will collapse.
Why have Chelsea, Arsenal etc got better midfield players, Even the Barcodes (Bruno & Tonali) have players who would walk into our team. Is it bad luck (Rodri, Kovatic injured & De bruyne Gundogan gone) ?Our team is simply not the team of 2 years ago. I won't be surprised if Chelsea finish second in the league, they have a better midfield than us, and better wingers than us (Estevao could be the next Neymar). Our CBs are so poor compared to other teams,
And yet despite playing a high line that can leave our lads very exposed at times we have the third best defensive record in the division. Odd that. Our team is simply not the team of 2 years ago. The same Sunderland that took points off Arsenal?Sunderland agree.
Doubt that unfortunately. They've definitely gone about their business with less flapping this season. At the moment I can only see them pulling away gradually while the rest of us struggle with consistency. If they do have a blip they seem to get it sorted and bounce back quckly They've been very goo so far. Perfect in CL conceding 0 goals and only 10 in the PL.Apparently it was game on after we beat Liverpool and now we have no chance again. And a couple of weeks later, we go away to Crystal Palace and lose again.Yep, game on again next week when we stroll past Leeds and Arsenal drop points at Chelsea.
The kneejerk reaction thread.
The pressure they will be under to get this title win will be absolutely immense. They have shown nothing to prove that they will cope with a tight run in if we are there to put the pressure on them.Doubt that unfortunately. 5 points after we defeat them at the EtihadEven if we're 100% perfect from now on, winning every game, Arsenal will have to drop 8 points (taking GD into account) for us to win it. Now, I have no doubt that Arsenal will drop points; they'll have a daft defeat or two, and a few draws. But there's no way I can see us not dropping more points. We're just too inconsistent this season. Brilliant against Liverpool (though looking at the way they're playing at the moment, that win may not be all that special), back to frustrating at Newcastle.
And all the above isn't taking Chelsea into account.
