Our other new signings are much younger and are showing a lot more than he is,he is 34 soon and experienced and shouldn't need a whole season to settle in

Age doesn't matter so much for a keeper (look at Buffon) but still takes a while for a while for any player to adapt in a new country and a new culture. The human element more than ability ( there is nothing wrong with that otherwise we wouldn't of signed him in the first place).
