His footwork was awful at the start of the season ,fair play to him for the improvement, wander if hart could have improved as much lf hed had the time and put the effort in ?
You dont think ten years was long enough? Besides, maybe his football wasnt the sole reason for his departure.

Anyway, this is the Caballero thread.......and he was superb,we look more confident with him between the sticks - he fully deserves the jersey.

Although it makes you think where we might be had he started the season in goal we can't blame Pep. Nobody could have known how shit bravo was going to be or indeed how well willy was going to adapt. Most important thing is Pep,and the goalkeeper geniuses on here, know now.
There is no rhyme or reason now for willy not to start every game when fit. Keepers don't need rotation like other players,if anything a settled keeper is vital. The players in front of him clearly feel more at ease with that.
Bravo goes home in the summer. Sad but some moves just don't pay off.

Kudos to him on the game yesterday, looked sharp and his distribution was excellent.

Lovely save at the forward's feet on 20 minutes. Brave too.

His distribution tonight must have had Pep purring.

Looks like a guy who has worked hard to improve his game.

Alot of the elder folk on here will agree with my next statement.
Takes a lot of character to take on new challenge and adopt to change later in life,,, so fair play to Cabellero.

Great attitude, and the work put in is paying dividends... He has my respect.

Feels good to have confidence in our keeper again.

To be fair Bill, I'm pretty sure you called it within a week of him joining, didn't you? Although I know you won't get any satisfaction from being proved right in a situation like this.

Lol, he gets more satisfaction from it than anything.

absolutely none mate. I got that joe was poor with his distribution and bravo was worth a try. sadly it was obvious from the first game we'd dropped one. I am only sorry Pep persevered with him as long as he did.

Stepped out of the shadows now has Willy. He knew his time would come and now his patience and professionalism is being rewarded.
I've a feeling he won't be between the sticks at the weekend though.

One of the heroes of the last twelve months for City. Worked his arse off, never complains, a great guy by all accounts and has put in largely excellent performances. Deserves to be #1 at least until the end of the season and I think we should give him a 1 year extension if he wants it.
