Willy Caballero - 2016/17 performances

We need every ounce of spirit and leadership. He's a stand up and be counted character.

We'll presumably sign a young/non-pl goalkeeper. He has proven himself a more than capable backup.

We need connection between players and fans. He is well liked.

Not expensive to keep. Bravo possibly easier to move on, or use as a makeweight with a Southern Ruropean team.

What else is there to say? Please, do the right thing, City.

One time today he got the ball - looked up and chucked it straight away to the half way line and we had a break which we should have done much better with. Great vision. He isn't top drawer but far better than anyone else we have at the club. Get a new keeper next year (given the Emporer won't go near Joe Hart) and keep him as a second choice.

If you're going to continue to be a daft **** and call our manager the emperor, at least spell it right.

Amazing amongst all this goodwill, to think that his stock was lower than Bravo's last season.

I'd be happy enough for him to stay, but prior to this season, Bravo was a much better keeper tham Willy (or Hart), so it could be that Bravo will get the same chance to redeem himself as Willy got, as another keeper is brought in.

On the evidence of this season Caballero is better than Hart in every area and gets paid less.

Three options:

A. We keep what we have now. Maybe Bravo has a much better season as with many players from abroad entering the PL. If he does Pep is able to show why he brought him in. I see it but many on here apparently don't.

B. We sell Bravo and bring in a new goalkeeper. If he's from abroad we need to wait and see how he fits in. If he has played in the PL already maybe he doesn't need time to settle, but tbf I can't think of a goalkeeper in the PL that can play and think the way Pep wants him to. But you never know.

C. Caballero will go and we bring in a new goalkeeper. Than let all of Bravo, Gunn and the new lad fight it out. It's maybe the biggest gamble as we don't know if Bravo can step up, if Gunn is ready or if the new goalkeeper can perform like we expect to.

Best option:
To keep Kompany fit and continue to organise the defence in the way we play so we hardly give away chances to the opposition. Therefore we might conceed but still outscore the opponent. So we can play the goalkeeper that is best at playing football and thinking like a football player and the rest is kind of irrelevant. Bit the way Pep sees it, but than again he is just our manager.

Consistent player. He's not like joe who can win and lose you games all by himself. Don't think we will win a close game with bravo in goal, and there's plenty of evidence to back that up.
