I've never spat at anyone in my life, it's a vile thing to do. I'd honestly rather be punched than spat on and if he gobbed on me I'd run the **** over.

No mate, i have had a few moments but only with other pissed up fools who started shit first, not general bystanders, not my style bud.
If he cant handle the booze he should not be drinking imo.

You have to remember also we are not worshiped by ten thousand wanna be kid football superstars. They get paid a fair chunk for image rights so it has to work both ways.

Anyway im that happy drunk with a big shit eating grin at the bar, i do get your point though were not all angels. Its starting to happen frequently with this lad though, and as stated he is only 19 he needs to knock this crap on the head pronto.

To the lads who don't beleive the story, their were witnesses and as stated he was given an official caution and the gunners pr department had some work to do.
So its pretty bang on he did do it.

Can't help but feel the cab driver is milking it a bit. If he reckons this is the worst behaviour he's encountered in 38 years (or whatever it is) of cabbying then I smell bovine excrement.
When Thatcher closed down all the mines in Kent all those years ago gigs were hard to come by and I turned my hand to a bit of cabbying to help pay the bills. I did it for a few years and experienced some of the worst aspects of human behaviour. Pissing and vomiting on the back seats, getting a smack from drunks, incredibly aggressive and foul-mouthed language from punters. Even had one drunken girl late one night with her mates pick up half a concrete block (the type you get from building sites) and attack me with it. I suffered a severely bruised collarbone because of the unprovoked attack.
The cab company took her to court where she admitted the offence and was given a £25 fine!

I'd rather fucking starve than drive a cab for a living again.

You equated his behaviour as just normal drunken antics and said we've all done it.
That's bullshit. I've never acted like that when I've been pissed. I'm no fucking angel and got in more than one drunken fight but I've never started a fight because of drink and I've never abused anyone because of drink. It isn't normal and it's just an excuse to act like a knob.
If someone told me I had behaved like that I'd stop fucking drinking on the spot.

From my experience people who act like cunts when they've had a few tend to be cunts when they're not drinking too.

Me too. It's part of life's rich tapestry. When I was about 17 or so some bloke in a nightclub put me on my arse because I was being a twat. A week later myself and some of my mates happened to see the bloke again in the same club. I went over, shook his hands, and apologised to him. He thought I was going to kick off - so did lots of people, I would imagine - but nothing could have been further from my mind. I had acted like a total knobhead and he did what any self-respecting bloke would do, smack me.
Fair play to the guy. I was in the wrong and I certainly wasn't ashamed to admit it.
