Chuckle Brother sport where you seed the draw to get the best 4 in the semi finals because no one would watch it otherwise.

Bit of an odd reason not to like a sport.

Not true either as Nadal is seeded five.

Only because he hasn't played much. I like Tennis to play but hate it to watch. Gross overkill for 2 weeks.

Is it Wombledon already?

It must be time to paint the back fence, then watch it dry. Then when that's done, I can cut the grass, and watch it grow again.

(Can't you see I'm missing watching City)

So the annual two week tennis season is upon on. And with the sun set to shine in SW19 what can we expect this year?

Nadal's injury and subsequent slip down the rankings has made the draw look very lob sided.
Djokovic might seem short at 5/4 but with Murray, Nadal, Federer and Tsonga all in the bottom half of the draw, that 5/4 could look huge if as expected he eases his way through the top half and sees who's battled there way through to meet him in the final. I'm sure Federer at 10/1 will attract a lot of casual interest but I think that price is probably about right, all considered.

Serena is obviously a worthy favourite. But 4/9 is probably a bit too restrictive for most. It means the second favourite, Sharapova is as big as 15/2 though and there must be each way value in the opposite half of the draw to Serena. It's highly likely there's going to be at least one massively priced semi finalist. It's 70/1 bar the top four in the betting.

For people who can be bothered studying form properly there are probably more value bets to be had in tennis than any other sport.

Not everyone's cup of tea I know but I'm looking forward to the next fortnight.

Come on Tim!!!

Yeah, come on and fuck off home, Tim. The BBC are gonna ruin a good fortnight's tennis by havin' some of the biggest tossers filling the screen. How do they do it? Year in, year out, they exceed the previous year's efforts for trotting out one tosser after another. I bet ten dirhams that CamelGob or Tosser Owen turn up before the first week's out! Just show us the fuckin' ball being hit over or into the net, and then STFU!
