Wimbledon 2023 | Alcaraz beats Djokovic in the final

Maybe Djokovic is getting tired..loads of unforced errors creeping in now, he is 36 after all

Come on Alcaraz!!

Yep. Absolutely phenomenal tennis player. Best ever? Hmm; I'm not sure. There's been some good 'uns down the years. But I just can't warm to him as a person. He gives the impression (rightly or wrongly) of being an arrogant so and so. Having never met him (and highly unlikely ever to do so), I could be way off with that judgement. It's just a feeling I get from watching him.
I mean he’s a professional sportsman at the top of his field, it goes without saying that he is deeply arrogant.

The bigger issue is that he’s an open conspiracy theorist and anti-vaxxer who expected special treatment.

A lot of people say he's actually a really nice guy off the court and has a really good sense of humor

Part of me thinks he doesn't really like the very uptight environment around Wimbledon because when you see him play in other tournaments like the US Open, he seems much more relaxed and has more fun with it.

I think he's probably the best player of all time and even the other best players in his era like Federer and Nadal, he has a winning record against both and quite a big win record against the likes of Federer in major finals. Pretty much any statistic you can throw at him in terms of success and head-to-head and things like that, he comes out on top

Djokovic is awesome,a freak,an absolute machine.........every kid with ambitions of being elite should study his lifestyle and game.

Saying that.....i like this kid Alcarez, and i hope he wins today.

I'd forgotten all about the anti vax stuff. He's entitled to his stance, of course. But it wouldn't endear him to me. Nor would his father's tacit support for the Russian regime. Though I suppose you can't blame him for his father's faults.

I'm not sure you could call him a conspiracy theorist

I don't think there's anything wrong with a man who is a great sportsman and has to take care of his body being a cautious of a vaccine that hadn't even gone through a vigorous testing over a long period of time vacciness is supposed to.

I don't think you have to be a conspiracy theorist to understand that it was a rushed vaccine. You only have to go back in history to see how many vaccines have turned out to be problematic and weren't really realized until the future but at the time they were seen to be perfectly fine.
