I'm afraid she did. Points to go 4-0 and 4-2 up, then serving for the match. It was there for her, which makes it all the more annoying to realise just how close she was to a sensational result. If she'd been well beaten in straight sets, then nothing would have been thought about it. It'd be "Ah well; she was playing Serena. She never really had a chance". But she had a great chance as it turned out. You can be sure that Heather will be thinking "if only". Anyway; a big well done to her for giving the red hot favourite a massive (sniff!) scare.

3-0 up in the third with game points to go 4-0. To passive at key points. Seen it so many times when people play Serena, think it was Azarenka who fucked three match points in a row on her serve against Serena in the Madrid open. Fair play to Serena though even when shes at her worst she can pull through.
 
Here's hoping Gasquet can see this through. Can't stand Kyrgios and his band of merry wankers in the crowd.
