Windows 7 RC

Running 64 bit vista, 8 gig ram, and can say ive never had a problem with it.

I have tested windows 7 also, and it too is nice. So will be getting that when its out.

Tried to get the 64bit Windows 7, got stuck in an infinite loop and it wouldn't let me install it.

Should be clean install or an upgrade from Vista. You cannot upgrade from XP.

This was with a freshly formatted hard drive.

Okay,

where exactly are you having the issue. With the download, or with the actual install itself? If the install at what point?

The install.

Put disc in drive.
Loop {
Splash screen fires up.
Goes through motions of setting itself up ready to install.
Reboots.
}

I'm not particularly bothered, but it would've been nice to try it out! People say it is pretty good.

Worth trying again to be honest. 7 is pretty good and is getting positive comments from everyone that tries it. Few things to try;

Can you download it again, or create the ISO?

If you've got 2 sticks or RAM in your machine or more try installing with just one stick , and if the loop continues then swap stick and try again.

You did mention you were downloading the 64bit version. Can you check if all 64bit version drivers are available, if not that may be the isssue.
