Winter comfort food

I have developed my own comfort foods, namely bbq pulled pork and home made wedges. I also love a good burger. The idea of a well roasted chicken with just a few herbs regularly basted does sound lovely though.

Time I made some good old fashioned corned beef hash and pea n ham soup. Maybe a liver n bacon casserole. Comfort food always tastes good when it's cold outside.

What do you like?

Corned beef hash is fucking rancid, and I actually like corned beef. Proper tatty hash needs to be made with real minced beef, with some nice suet dumplings.

Shepherds pie

Prefer Cottage Pie myself, beef instead of lamb. Bloody lovely either way though.

guinness stew and mash
lamb tagine and harissa cous cous with pitta bread
sausage and chorizo casserole
pheasant and calvados casserole
cheese toastie (gruyere, worcester sauce, mustard, touch of cream)
chilli

You are fucking obsessed with bbq, you're the only bloke I know who will chip the ice from the bbq so you can stand outside freezing your bollocks off, just to have your dinner on the barbie. If you weren't so posh I'd be convinced you were Australian.
